I don't care about the format, I just want to see Keith play again. It's truly magical when he's in stroke. It's not like the guy is elderly.. I'm sure he's got plenty left to show us!

Yep, a lot of people are missing the fact that Keith is only like 55? Thats not real old.....
Barring any health issues (which I don't believe he has), I wonder how much play/practice/time Keith would estimate it'd take him to get back to world class speed.
A month of playing many hours most every day? With a mix of practice and action- I think that might get him pretty darn close. But without a # of tourneys under his belt, I don't know that he could enter into a world class field event and expect to get a real high finish.
Whatcha guys think?

I think he doesn't stand a chance.
I sometimes wonder too...I know he had some significant success in league pool in the early2000s , but I haven't heard about him in a while.I wonder whatever happened to Shorty. Is he still around? He could definitely play!![]()
I think the most pertinent thing would be his eyesight.
Efren's game fell off badly til he got laser.
Billy Johnson's game suffered in his last few years for the same thing.
I think full-time players who take a hiatus, the only way to get in stroke is to be engaged in combat, whether short action sets or all nighters.
Tournaments are okay, but they don't let you broaden your wing span, so to speak.
I would think aside from the eyes, it would also be muscle memory. They still have the same arsenal of shots, and you can't lose the wisdom, but it would take a couple hundred or more hours of hitting balls daily before one could get close to the same fluidity they once had.
Older eyes take longer to focus...Keith may have to slow his pace a bit.
...and get trickier...
..Fred Davis in the snooker world was still winning some matches at 70...
...but he was playing like Einstein

I think Keith has always had really good eyesight.. not sure if that has changed in the last few years.
Just an FYI, contact has been initiated between the parties at the time of this writing.![]()

with keith and james?
Yep! Negotiations are in progress but need further development. Lots of development.![]()
That's great to hear!
Has Keith shared with you how he might intend to get back into speed? How many times has he hit a ball in the recent past?
