won my first 9 ball tournament last night (well this morning)....only 22 players but hey.......i haven't played much 9 ball for many years but have been spending a lot of time lately on safties, so, i thought, what the heck. i was told by a friend it started at 6pm so i got there at 4 to practice. find out it starts at 8 pm! my last match was @ 2:30am! i'm too old for this. i haven't been up that late for maybe 20 years. my win is because of the helpful hints and suggestions form the people on az forum so i wanted to thank you all for helping me in the past. I CAME HOME WITH THE MONEY! :thumbup:

I don't get in the money often, but when I do. I share with the wife. It's money well spent. Makes her happier for me to head out to the next tournament.

It does feel good, probably more to us older players! I won my first a few months ago. There were only 14 players, but it was still very satisfying.

Congrats!!! great job! Our 8 ball tournaments run til 230.. I'm too old for this crap too.
 
Waytogo and congrats! This is a big reason why we all play pool, moments like this!
 
i had such great response i told my wife about the az forum's support. she is always very supportive of my playing and practicing. on some occassions i tell her i am not in the mood to go practice, she says" oh yes you are, get going and i will see you later, and good luck", so, on the suggestion of one of the members here i offered her the $$$$. WTF? who's idea was that? :shrug:she kept it! :thud:

Boy you are rite about that money well spent, give your wife the winnings you can go back forever as long as you always win, women dont understand the losing part!

What would you rather do? Win a real tournament at 2:30 AM or lose one in your dreams at 11:30.

As for the wife & the money. You should have given her half & told her how much she owes you for the expenses. No! that's certainly not a good idea.:wink:
