Mosconi Cup 2012 Day (4) Discussion

Oh my! Quite a scratch to turn this set from close to closed.

I disagree with almost everyone on who you play early today. With the score at 9-6 the pressure is alot lower then when it goes 9-9 or 9-10. The last people you want in the late matches when the pressure peaks are the guys who have already crapped themselves in earlier matches. Get them in early when they can be less pressured up due to the match not being tight or sudden death. If this thing goes 10-9 for Europe the USA is dead due to their guy they put in to get them that sudden death match.

I don't like how Dennis is not walking the table to see exactly where he wants the cue ball. It's costing him.

Nickos is going to choke his ownself out if he loses this one. This is obviously a lot on Dennis' shoulders but Nickos should be straight freewheeling.

Wow, how the heck did we win that one.. He started great his finish was way off par, understandably.. My blood pressure doubled the last few racks!

I can't even imagine the pressure the players are dealing with.. I don't think I could hold a cue let alone make a ball under that kind of pressure.

I would like to think Matchroom gave warning about being biased towards the USA for Jay & Jerry, cause they sure are commentating like they are for team Europe.

Team Europe has a strong stroke and we got lucky. Geeez.

I agree Ray, I'm about to turn the sound off..

The strategy of "bring your D game and hope it's good enough" worked for Hatch but I don't think it's a winning approach to gaining the cup for the others.

Still, a point is a point, and Team America will take it.
