Do You Plan On Treating Yourself To A Pool Related Holiday Gift?

For the 1st time in years I am getting some pool stuff for Xmas
It's not high end but it's still cool.
I bought a Dale Perry with the stage 1V shaft and a sterling 3x5 case.
I play with a predator now and an instroke case,both are about 7 or 8 years old. I needed a pool fix and for now this is it

I have a couple gift cards to Barnes and Noble. Will probably pick up a couple pool-related books. Probably "Road Player The Danny Diliberto Story" and something else...

My wife swears that everyday is Christmas for me so.....

I'm very hard for my wife to buy gifts for because she doesn't know pool stuff that well, even though she's decent 3-speed. With any luck, I left the Bonus Ball set screen up enough times for her to get the hint!
 
I bought myself a Gold Crown II with brand new Tourney Blue Simonis, and a set of Brunswick Centennials. :wink:

Here's the lowdown:

According to my eyeball doc, I have to get 2 more of those shots in the eyeball, 4 if you count the lidocaine pre-medicine shots. The fun resumes next week. :eek:

I'm actually home now recovering from abdominal surgery I just had due to being rear ended in my car while stopped at a red light. wtf

been back to hitting some balls in the basement in slower-than-usual motion and even have a game lined up here with a friend this afternoon. :cool:

2012 is ending a little sour but watch out for 2013. I got a good feeling about it. Assuming the world doesnt end today at 12:21 pm. :smile:

Ordered a Lomax jump cue back in October, should be arriving soon.

Also going to look at a table tomorrow, in the 20 years I've been playing I've never had a table to practice on at home. If everything works out, could have a refinished GC IV upstairs in a few weeks!!!

I want to treat myself to a Thomas Wayne or Pete Tonkin cue...but I am a few $$$$ short of affording one...sigh.
 
A new case 2x4 and some tip maintanence supplies oh and a box of chalk, my moms birthday is a few days after Christmas so the new shaft will have to wait.

I was thinking of buying a measle cue-ball.....
...but they wouldn't let me take it out for a spin...:angry:
I said "What? You expect me to buy it blind?"

Our pool room opens Christmas day evening at five-o'clock, and at that precise time I shall order the Hustler Club, with large fries.
The Hustler Club is a culinary masterpiece. A cross (more of a gentle blend) between a Club sandwich and a hamburger.
Why is all this so special? It's because the regimin I'm on (the heart thing) precludes this sort of fare from my normal diet.
I did, however, check the list (I even checked it twice) and I have been relatively nice for most of the year, so what the hell. It's a Hustler Club for me.

Sure, two cues, My birthday cue should be here very soon, maybe for Christmas, from Mike Durbin, and my Christmas cue was ordered the other day from Bobby Hunter. Can't explain how excited I get over new cues, don't know why!!

Actually in my case it is did...

1st I purchase a Mike Durbin beater that was for sale here on AZ... then after I decided I liked it, off to Proficient for a refinish AND conversion of a Tiger shaft... Should get it back the weekend after christmas....

Santa said I'd been a good boy, so maybe a Custom Joss is in my future [no metal joint :-)] as well...
