Whaddya think?

Technically ... yes. But it looks like there's some damage to or near the ferrule which might change my decision.

.

Having a Perfectly straight cue is not absolutly nessasary . Back when I was shooting off the wall , as long as the tip was in good condition , I could shoot with it . Thats a little much , tho . Jim

How much did you pay for it?

I paid $160 for the whole cue, used. It warped in the first week. I have straightened it a couple times but it always warps back. This is ater sitting a year.
The other cue, in the same case, never warped at all so I'm sure it's not environmental.

my cue

My long lost cue.

I sent a cue in just like that to players, they said they would warranty it.

I should be getting it back anytime. because they have had my cue long enough to grow another tree.

If anyone from players is reading this. I SENT my cue in 2007 you can send it back any time now.

My favorite cue of all time had a small whoopie in it. I knew how it shot though and knew exactly how to rotate the butt to place the whoopie up and down.
Anyone else couldn't shoot my cue to save their life.

This cue... new shaft or trash it? (Meucci)

It was joke.I know it is playable but woudn't play your best games with it for sure and you will have some tuff time to find someone to buy it.However,I am sorry because of your cue.Probably is problem in wood,or in work with wood.I am curious what cue is it???

100% it is. I bought a cue from Ebay with 2 shafts. The seller neglected to mention that both shafts looked like the one you have. Shoot around corners if need be.

As long as you keep the warp pointed down, you can use it. J/k of course.

I re worked the cue and put a new shaft on it. It ended up being one of the best players that I have ever owned. Ended up 57" after I cut the excess joint material off.

Oh, and it can be fixed. If you have access to an asphalt packer.

If there's no damage to the business end, you could play with it if you have a good stroke and the ability to ignore your eyes crying foul when it moves. You could name it, "The Politician".

If you really feel like trying to straighten it and aren't worried about ruining it:

Mark the high points with a pencil
Heat it the opposite (low) side gently with dry heat (burner or heat gun)
Bend it back slowly against a stable surface (counter / worktable top)
Small corrections are best, don't try to do it all at once

I seriously doubt it could actually be straightened, but it could be a good learning experience. An LD shaft will cost you more than $160 at any rate.

There is a guy in Australia selling cues that are 3 times more bent than that one . I saw them on e-bay a couple yrs ago .

I hope at least one person gets what I'm referring to,...But was that cue stored under Jay Helferts spare tire at any time?

I think if you would practice for 10 hours each day in 5 years period, then in 6th year you would be able to find out how exactly you have to rotate your cue to make balls consistently.Offcourse,if cue or wood woudn't run out in some other direction in the meantime

I'll probably just put it back on Ebay and say it's "near mint" condition.

J/K of course but Ebay is probably where it will end up. Full disclaimer and all.
