How so? First off, to claim people have been "muzzled" when this is not so is more than a little self-righteous. Second, while the stories are amusing, if my son told me he was going out on the road to learn how to hustle pool -- when if you put a bald-faced label on it, this is what it is -- then I'd have "a problem" with it. (First with him, followed closely by the guy luring him into it.) No matter how romantic a spin you put on it, you are basically sending this kid out to be a grifter. So.... I guess we can all read the story, enjoy it, be entertained and just be thankful it is not own our boy (at 23). IMO, that's why Scott's comments not uncalled for.
And so, Scott, though I cannot speak for him, was pointing out (to the prig) that, no, so sorry, no one has been muzzled; yes, some folks still have a problem with some of this; and, oh by the way: wouldn't it be smarter -- if you actually had a minuscule and true shred of Geno's best interests at heart -- to let sleeping dog lie instead of challenging Scott to list the issues?
Guess not. It just goes to show who the real s-stirs on the site really are ;-)

I'm not sure if this is all aimed at me, or other folks. First off, I think we have had more than enough shit stirred in this thread. Calling Gene's post "BS" is what I was referring to. Given that Scott is not a big fan of Gene, I would say that his statement is "uncalled for." We are all enjoying a quality read here, and for some one to derail this thread just seems, less that right.
The thing is I have met these guys, and Zack isn't out there hustling. He's matching up. He's not dogging balls looking to set guys up, and Gene isn't showing him that. As far as I can tell from reading this and meeting them in person, Gene gives him slight suggestions this way and that, and is really more focused on teaching the kid how to survive in pool and on the road. I you don't think SVB, Johny, Earl, or any other "names" didn't do what this kid is doing right now, you are mistaken.
I actually think Gene gives Zack a lot more life lessons than pool lessons. You can think whatever you like Lou. I respect and value, you, and your opinions, but I think you might be a little bit off on this one. If you meet these two in person, it is OBVIOUS that Gene cares more about setting this kid up for success in the long haul. I actually think Gene really cares if Zack succeeds or fails, which is a hell of a lot more than you get from most people in the pool world.
I for one am pulling for you guys!! (Gene & Zack)
best,
Justin
P.S.- I tried sending you a PM Lou but your inbox was full.
