I can not stand playing pool around people with body odor, its wrong making other people smell your dirty a s s e s. i can handle the smell of weed and cigarettes but really people smell yourselves before you go play pool around others, one time i just had enough of this one guy...everytime he walked by me it was disgusting...wtf is with all the low life losers that didn;t learn how to wash their ball sacks, but yet they have a perfect clean cue lol !!!
pls if you are in a tourney and you don;t use the shower the whole weekend and you have been drinking----you stink ok.
 
he asked if he could play some on my table for practice before his match, i really didn't wanna say yes in the first place but after i could smell his body odor ,it was bad man, then i really regretted saying yes...had to hold my breath just to stop the vomit...then i said fck this and got the hell off that table. he was a weak player and i was just being polite...never again.

Yeah, we got an Uncle Stinky at our hall too. S hit gets into your nose and its worse than cat pee.

You have brought up yet another reason why they should allow smoking in Pool rooms.I do not smoke but you have to admit the smoke wipes out the smell of a lot of dirty people, maybe that is why you notice it more now that rooms are smokeless.In the room I use to play in we had several of those types, one was so bad his nickname was Soot.In the summer time it was horrendous to just look at him. He would come in wearing sandals his toe nails looked like burled ash wood and grew in every direction.Needless to say food sales dropped dramatically in the summer months with Soot present.
 
I am trying to be nice to people and promote the game but your right about the nuisance comment, its impossible for me to be nice to those people.

Not just if you stink...are you "sweaty"? Which is kinda the same thing? One breeds the other?

Most people need a good ass washing at least once in lifetime.
 
I ran poolrooms over 20 years. Over that time, we had 6-8 of these guys that used chemical warfare.

At different times, I nicknamed a couple of them "Skunk" and the name stuck. It didn't bother either one. They both thought it was funny. One guy even had a white stripe down the middle of his hair.

I had a real problem with one other guy we nicknamed "Stinky". He was young, dressed nice and was surprisingly well groomed but, OMG, the smell of him would make a train take a dirt road.

The problem was he chased after every woman that came through the door. Once they got a whiff, he would chase 'em right out the door and I couldn't have that.

Finally, I sat him down and had the talk with him. I told him he was not allowed through the door unless he took a bath and used deodorant. I also told him if I saw him approach any lady he didn't accompany through the door, he was given the boot.

It worked for awhile but he developed another problem. He started stiffing everyone when he lost gambling so I finally gave him the permanent boot. I guess he was spending all of his money on deodorant and cologne.

I never thought I'd have to run customers past the "smellometer" as part of my job but it happened.

Amen,I hear ya.
There's one guy who used to play on the tour down here Canada.
This guy stunk so bad that when it was your shot,the smell still
lingered around the table like the movie''The Fog''.
It got so bad that players would tell the tournament director,that if
they ever draw him again in the event,they would forfeit the match.
Just plain nasty!!
 
Stinky players should all be expelled immediately from clubs no questions asked. I know some stinky players who constantly smell really awful and I've often wondered do those guys have any shame at all? I mean I would never go to a public place smelling even slightly worse than normal.

About allowing smoking to cover up for bad smelling people...you have got to be kidding me. Some players need to learn about personal hygiene, it is as simple as that. One extremely smelly player can drive away potential 20. Couple of room owners have complained to me that they lost quite a bit of profit due to smoking ban, so they needed to pay extra for permit to allow smoking. I just told them that they attract the wrong kind of people since they are unable to attract enough non smokers to pool. In most countries in the world, non smoking people outnumber the smokers without a doubt. But when you enter pool rooms, one would think the opposite. This needs to change. Hopefully in not so distant future it will.
 
I would never put down someone to make myself feel better. A real man would simply let the guy know that he might need to put some deodorant on. I have played pool from 11am till the next morning, im sure i was not up to ur standards. It so easy to pick on a person you did not name and make up a story like this. I wonder if this story was true what would that guy say. Hmmmmmm maybe he said dude what u doing sniffing my ball sack.... lol pick on somebody ur own size... how bout me..
 
How about when you are playing Mr.stinky and you say man something stinks here and he say yea i know i smell it to!
 
Now this is for all you stinky pool playing mofos outthere, you have been exposed, we know who you are and so do you, its time to clean up or dont show up!
