Pesonal cue made 6 moths ago and he's getting rid of it already?:joyful:

Heck, I didn't think Buddy even played serious anymore.:shakehead:

This is just bullshit for the rest of the Meucci collectors.

Maybe I should list my real Mike Sigel Hook cue for $3,500?

There are a couple of Meucci collectors on AZ so if they should see this, I am sure they will set the record straight re that particular cue.

I'm gonna get high next time I post something on eBay! This guy has lost his mind....I just don't understand people nowadays.

MARKETING....or should i say a pitifull example thereof, imo not on BUDDY'S or the ebay sellers part

I'm not sure I understand.

The seller clearly says this cue came directly from Buddy , is signed and will include and hand written personalized letter from Buddy to the winner of the auction.

What's is the controversy ? The price or what ?

A hand built, fully loaded one off cue from Bob is probably 2-3 grand without the Buddy connection. I understand hating Meucci , perhaps even hating Buddy (?) but to those who don't either I don't see anything terribly out of line.

?

Well nothing to do with the cue but a Buddy story I always liked is that he once won 8 tournaments in row with 8 different cues. Bludworth gave him a cue and when Buddy won he would sell the cue to a fan and Blud would ship another one,

This has nothing to do with hating Meucci. Buddy supposedly had the cue for 6 months, so it's not like there is any nostalgia to it. It's not an "original", it's a new cue made for someone famous with a signature on it...not worth asking price.

I see.

As I posted earlier , I don't see it as being out of line for a full blown one off custom cue from arguably one of the most famous cue builders of all time. (Az rep not withstanding ;) )

The additional shafts and a personalized signed letter from Buddy himself ought to be worth something to a fan.

I got though, thanks.

I thought that Buddy prefered 13mm. shafts, old school?

i had a 59" SEARING that BUDDY played with for a while in 00/01. All 3 shafts were a perfect (as was everything else) 12.75 mm

Buddy probably played with Meucci cues longer than any other brand and, iirc, the shaft size varied between 12.75 & 13mm.

...and yet here you can get a "Buddy Hall" cue and save $2800.00

What's out of line is ANY Meucci selling for over a few hundred dollars. They are cheaply made and regardless of whether they are a 1 of 1 or if they made thousands of them, they are not worth that kind of money IMO.

Okay I have got to chime in on this, I was back home in August. Our ranch is right beside Meucci. I watched Bob step by step personally hand craft this cue him self and I have got to say that there was many more steps put in to this cue than a production cue. I even got to shoot a few games of pool with it. OMG it shoots amazing. Also all 3 of the shafts are different. Different tapers, diameters and such. This cue is worth a good bit in my opinion. I am sure to the right person it would be worth the asking price.

Like what? I am sure all the Meucci customers will be very interested to know what extra steps went into Buddy's cue that didn't make it into theirs?
