is a subjective question, and will have subjective answers depending on the experience each poster has with certain shafts. You will not get one perfect answer, just guesses.
Mike Gulyassy SPTX ("Strickland Pro Taper Extreme) shaft.
Whats the best beer, whats the best pizza, whats the best tv, etc...
...no kidding! The best beer is the one you're drinking, while eating the pizza you like best, while watching the tv you like best! IMO the best beer is the coldest one! LOL

Not sure how these hold up. There are too many videos on you tube of them breaking. Earl misses a shot, smashes his cue on the ground and....bam, broken shaft. I'd look for one that doesn't have a ton of videos of them breaking...
Just pull the trigger on something already Prodigy :grin-square:
This is a very subjective question, meaning that the "best shaft" is up to the interpretation of each person.
You'll find some good reasons for why some players prefer or like some shafts over others, but ultimately it's up to what you like. I use a 314-2 and started out with the Lucasi Hybrid Zero Flexpoint. I'm actually looking into the OB Classics right now.
You'll figure out what the best shaft is, but you'll probably have to buy seven or eight LD shafts before you figure out that none of them are any better than the shaft you got with your cue.
