Show Your Topping (High-End) PLAYER Cue

Well, here is my player, and my case to match. It is not super fancy, or super rare, but it is valuable, and IT PLAYS!!! The best acquisition I have made yet. Tony knows how to bulid cues. I hope this one fits into this category.

As stated to my friends when I bought
this cue, it would be my daily player...
And it is...

Heres mine

I haven't had this that long but from the first time i picked it up it was the most naturally balanced cue that I have owned and I don't know of anyone that finishes a shaft as smooth as Joel. The balance maybe due to the fact that I had him build it to 58 inches. What ever it is it plays.

These may not all be high end, but some are fairly lofty, and all are players:

Yes sir, that's an -R- Bushka style in the avatar, and in the pictures, as you note. And the other Bushka style shown in both is from Richard Black. Thanks for asking!

I just looked at this thread for the first time and I will have to say that most of the cues are termed "players" but in reality I see no indication that they get played at all or were just bought.

I think this thread should be rekindled and everyone really tell the truth if you use one of those beautifuls cue to play with.

Of course, and perhaps, maybe these guys don't play that much.

Let's see the same cues and how they look now!!!!

Nice cues though!

I think Jerry -R- is one of the most underrated cue makers today!

I play with this every day. It has some pretty nasty battle scars here and there. I let almost any one hit balls with it that wants to. I often break and jump with it in addition to shooting with it. I even have 11.75mm and 12mm shafts for it, since I don't plan on selling it! I love it and it's nor for sale. (Mostly because Keith finished it the same day my son was born, and named the cue after him.)

One day if my son chooses to pick up the game, he can have it when he runs his first 3 pack. If he chooses not to play, he can sell it and pay for some college or something.

I love seeing high end cues get used! Good thread!!!

best,

Nice cues, all around. Some poster above questioned whether the cues on this thead were actually played. Many of the cues exhibit considerable patina, especially in the wrap, which indicates they have indeed been played. I can only assume that poster did not have the experience to recognize that.
