Who the F cares?

I guess all of you should write in to or call your local newspaper and make issues with them about their political cartoons. Or just see what the NY Post puts on the front and back cover of their paper each day. Those are responsible journalists. Or the Jon Stewart Show, Or The Onion, one of the most popular sites on the ntet. OMG has a nice, funny blog. Seriously, people need to take a deep breath.

And if Mike wants to be this superstart and have the fame and celebrity status that a pool player can garner (just ask Earl how much of a celebrity he is), then he needs to take the good with the bad. Which it seems he can.

There is a huge difference between reviewing an experience and attacking someone on a sustained basis.

Also bullying is when an attack came without any provocation. Clearly Melinda was provoked as a paying spectator. She has every right to describe her experience and her view of Mike's demeanor.

I agree with you here so just hear me out. I think a lot of people are not quite getting what some people's real beef here is. All the witty writing and even the bestiality thing was funny, a little over the top I think but funny none the less. What their argument is, and it does have merit is that OMGWTF went too far with all the "this is Mike's head" comments.
It is childish or grade schoolish to point at someone's features and make fun of them. You want to rag on him for his behavior, fine. You want to make fun of what you perceive someone's physical imperfections to be, well you just crossed the line. It's the same as using someone's weight problems, looks, or a handicap to get a cheap laugh. No difference.

I don't get this forum sometimes. Mike was having a rough go of it so he got uppity with someone who has the megaphone and a razor sharp wit and she used what was at her disposal to tell the story. Both parties have since moved on with little fuss, but other third parties on this board are still showing this overblown faux outrage like they've never seen anything like it before. Time to move on.

Yes because all Mike does is sit up late at night thinking of ways to make me money.

Mike was getting paid to be there. By me. He was paid to play pool not talk shit to the people in the studio. Mike hopefully learned its not a good idea to randomly go at people when taking the heat. I know I had to learn the hard way. This is an easy way of learning it.

I don't think I have missed a TAR event in years. The Reno Bar Box will be the last event I buy.
This has been a disgusting hurtful witch hunt and I wont support that kind of thing.

Actually I would beg to differ.

Jcin set this up, He pays the players to be there. He is a businessman and the PLAYERS make money because of what he does.

No what you fail to understand is that JCIN took risk at each and every one of those events. The players in those events took ZERO or very little risk. And the players in those events, at times lacked the respect that is needed to those giving them an avenue to make a living. You want to be a professional at anything, then you should act like it at all turns. Mike got paid and guaranteed $1000 for what, 8 hours of work? His head should be swelling even bigger (sorry I couldn't resist).

I commend Mike for coming on here and seeing all of this for what it is. The few that don't are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill and look very weak in doing so.

JCIN makes money because of the players and their caliber. Take away the players and you have no ability to make money. They are the product that he sells. They make him money. Its unarguable.

And if Mike Dechaine or Earl or anyone else doesn't want to act in an appropriate, respectful manner for the opportunity given to them, there are 20 dozen pool players standing in line behind them. Its unarguable.
