From firsthand experience, I'm a little leery when I read first-time posters come onto a controversial thread. :p

I hope you do get to see him play, Scratch85. What did you think of the Derby? :confused:

But Mike's head size has been an ongoing joke for 2+ years. He was on TAR Podcast once iirc he mentioned it and i believe it was one of the first things out of his mouth. Something like-"Well one thing for sure (looking at monitor) i do have the biggest head of all of us".

OMGWTF can definitely be mean but imo-not so much this time.

I don't understand what the fuss is about. She didn't write it for here, she wrote for her blog. And there she can say whatever she pleases. Don't like what or how she writes, don't go there. Personally, I think her take on events are consistently well written, usually very biting, and always very funny.

When I have my own blog... I'm taking a chainsaw to all of you :-)

No need to be leery. I'm not participating in the controversial part just confirming that is has given a boost in popularity.

I loved the Derby. Although I have been threatening to go, I had not made it until this year. Actually it was the first tourney of that quality I have ever seen. I was amazed at the number of top level players who were there and more amazed at their abilities. My game is lousy but it improved just seeing them do their thing.

PS: You should have seen how controversial my first post was :D

Man, it's getting a little heated in this thread. Time for me to sign off and take a dip.

My hats off to OMGWTF (again). This is at least the third and maybe the fourth completely epic AZ thread she has been the subject off. Unfortunately this one won't result in CubC disappearing forever rather than coming back here and eating crow (the wuss).
