Maybe it's to correct your spelling errors, which they didn't do.

I can see the need to combat spam. However, why are some posts / new threads sometimes never posted? I assumed it is because the moderator chose not to allow it but since it happens when the post is not negative, malicious etc. I am left to wonder why. Is there any feedback to the poster when a post is not allowed? Do posts directed to the moderator to review as spam expire if not reviewed on a timely basis?
I enjoy the give and take of this forum and find it helpful, entertaining and educational. I can quickly skip subjects not of interest to me and I can ignore those posting intemperate attack responses.

I never realized that could happen. I've never had a post delayed. I've only ever created two new threads that I recall and those weren't delayed either.
Seems like a good idea though for new members.
I remember it seeming a bit exclusive when I first signed up though. The first time I was hit with the pop quiz I didn't know the answer and had to try again. I was like "What kind of car does Larry Kressel's mother drive?" (slight exaggeration) huh? what? how the hell do I know?

I didn't have problems with delays. That must be some new stuff. Was there a troll/spammer invasion recently or something? That could trigger such safety measures. I've been mostly away for a couple of months so I'm not aware of any unusual events in the meantime.
