And then the following weekend Shane/Efren all around. I just can't believe people arn't poopin their pants like I am! 4 of the best players on earth about to play all arounds! I wish Orcullo was invovled!
Definitely buying this PPV... Looking even more forward to Shane and Efren the following week.

April 19th for Alex v. Bustie will be a good show for the pool fans. Everybody loves both of these guys, and, of course, their performance will be topnotch.
I do wonder if a calendar somewhere prominent on the forum would be beneficial. There just might be a pool happening every single day, but it could go by without anybody realizing it, if they are not a regular "reader" of this forum.

I agree. I forget about what's going on all the time. I get mixed up in my real world and end up sleeping through great matches. I knew about these matches a little before they were announced and had them marked on my calendar. Wish I had time to fly out and watch in person.
When Shane & Efren played at DCC a few years back, that was one of my favorite matches of all time. Like a changing of the guard match. But I don't think Efren is done.
I'm probably one of the loudest proponents saying pool is dead in America, but upon reflection, I think I just might be wrong. And that's a good thing.
Between the livestreams, regional tours, tournaments, and other pool happenings, there just could be something going on every day of the week, even if it's a mere local $15-entry-free weekly tournament.
If there were a calendar, people could post the happenings. In Twitter fashion, they would be limited to less than, say, 140 characters, so that it includes date, time, and place -- and maybe a link.
Go with Alex. It's my son's name, and I have a picture of the two of them together, and he autographed a cue for us. That other guy has a funny stroke and his name is harder to spell, a sure sign of a loser.
Cleary, Ill help you make up your mind. Ill take Alex for up to a nickel.

Pool in NYC has never been better (in recent years) over the past year. Steinway Billiards has recharged some life into this area has been action central. A healthy mix of road players, pros and gamblers. Action Action Action! Last night Shaw/Strickland played Busty/Kiamko on the 5x10 while the 9' tight tables were in constant action. I heard Scooter and Jorge Rodriguez were going to play a big set, but I left early.
Pool, at least in my area, is alive and well.
But in general, it's been non stop. Always something to sweat and bet on.
I think these next two matches are the most exciting of the TAR matches recently and they are back to back. I wonder if there is an option to purchase both at a discount price. I am not sure why there is not more talk or debate on who will win but the action room is looking weak mainly because people are scared and do not know which way to bet, perhaps a bit confused because there are two Filipinos battling it out.
Didn't Nasty use to say "keep your money in your pocket and enjoy the show"???

There are a couple of calendar import widgets for vbulletin (what this board runs on).
As long as thread titles are styled in a certain way, date - eventname - loc, it can probably be scripted to be self update a googledoc calendar, which has ICS exports; meaning it can download the dates to your smartphone's calendar.
Here are two prime forums, where a calendar could mine information from. Maybe it could be implemented as a club member feature, to offset the cost of updating the server software.
