60" cue

Just an option, I shoot with a 30 inch Schon Butt and stay with a standard 29 inch shaft. This leaves me with plenty of options if I wanted them on shafts. The standard Schon shaft is just fine for me, but, this leaves you plenty of affordable and easy to get shafts on your cue from a variety of cue makers or suppliers without snooping for 30" shafts that will cost you much more.

I've been wanting to try a 60" cue but most are custom and pretty high dollar. This seems interesting and reasonably priced, but eBay can be a crap shoot. Anybody know about these?

Here's a thought. Get a sixty inch cue and if ya don't like it you could recut the ferrule and make it a fifty eight inch cue and not have to buy new shafts. And if ya don't like it since its a fifty eight inch should be easier to sell.

The link isn't working for whatever reason. But if you search 60" cue on eBay these "Dr T" cues come up. It says kamui tips and g10 pin, for $179 it might be worth a try.

You may not have though this though, but to cut the ferrule on a 60" cue to make it a 58, you'd need at least a 2" ferrule. Which is really really really long. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen one that long.

dupe post, do NOT hit back button and Submit again hehe.

Go for it...

I think cue length is important and it is up to the shooter to decide on the length they want. If you know what shaft you like, get a 30" one and send it to your cue maker and have him build you a 30" butt for it. You will then have a cue made for you that should last for many years.

If all you want to do is try a 60" cue. I can rent you one for a few weeks. It would require a hefty deposit and shipping, but if you don't like it, you won't be out so much. Also swilliespeed here on AZ has some 60" cue conversions listed on eBay. His real name is Willie Speed. He is doing some good work cheap.

If you are interested I have a 60" Mystick cue in ebony and coccobolo that I don't use. Shaft is in good shape but the butt has some dings. I'll send it to you for $250.

You should also be aware that a 60 inch cue doesn't fit in every case, in fact most cases that I have used would have a problem with it. I had to take the spring out of one of the tubes in my in stroke case to accommodate my longer cue. (59 inches)
