Gabe Owen Thread Removed? Mod please at least give me your thoughts

I wish my Keithie was utilitarian. :embarrassed2: Heck, he has trouble hooking up the sprinkler to water the grass.

I will pray for thee at our next service. We meet on Tuesday nights.
Did you know God created camels on a Wednesday? That's why it's called hump day.

I hear you. That's me now. I had a 2004 Volvo with 59,000 miles on it. Keith and I drove from here to Vegas and back, up and down the East Coast.

I traded it in for a brand-new 2007 Volvo, and as of the time of this writing in 2013, I have 11,000 miles on it. Needless to say, that's all I do is bang pages on a keyboard all day. :embarrassed2:

Older cars are better: No monthly payments. ;)

my 2007 has 90k+ miles on it.

I love lamp.

Don't fib. You love boat.

I just read an article that the China company that bought Volvo may be dismantling it; in other words, there may not be a future for the Volvo line of cars.

I'm thinking I should trade mine in now, before that happens. I'm going for a MIni Cooper. I don't go anywhere except to the grocery store. If we go on the road, I'll rent a Cadillac. :grin-square:

If you ever had to work on a Mini you would bite your tongue off for mentioning buying one.....and you would slap yourself in the head for even thinking about it to begin with.

Cooper is an over-priced fun car.
Got a friend who's a biker when weather allows...bought a Smart Car for the winter.
He had some trouble with it...I told hm he got the one with a low IQ.

speaking of repairs, I totaled my red Mercedes. Remind me to tell you about it next time I see you. It was somewhere along the lines of your car that time we went to Knoxville, lol.

I bought a new metallic baby blue Mercedes after I totaled it though, so all is good.

LOL... I am still motoring in the old Nissan most every day, they basically paid me 2500 to keep it and fix it. I am gonna keep it as long as I can, keeps the miles off the truck.

Sux about the little red rig but I like blue much better than red. Blue just says " I am a pr!ck" a little bit less than red IMO.....

lol, it's funny you should say that because I was thinking about getting "I am a pr!ck" on my license plate.

I'm thinking about going with Ford. My brother had a Focus and loved it. He now has a Taurus. I'm thining about the Fusion.

See a lot of Mini Coopers in my area. I am glad you mentioned that to me. Now I will take that off my bucket list of cars. :o

Soup for you, Fatboy! Only Soup -- and maybe tea, Throat Coat and Breathe Easy tea! :p

well i finally got my soup 5 days late, better late than never. still am a little sick. brutal. back in america, jet lagged and not sure where to start. i feel lost kinda.<--not a bad thing

he is mellowing a bit with age.....:p;)

lol, I actually had just bought a Corvette when I started my account 7 years ago and shortly thereafter my wife and I found out we were pregnant with out first child and it didn't make much sense to have a Corvette so I traded it for a 4 door Wrangler. I bought my first Mercedes about a year later. I'm on my 4th one now and I don't think I'll ever drive anything else.

That is, unless I start making Fatboy money and then I'll get something outrageous, lol.

I am kinda jaded on cars in general. They are so hard to work on now compared to just a few years ago and the price of parts is getting ridiculous, even domestic vehicles.

I do think Mini has a special place in hell reserved though., The last one we had here needed a transmission, the warranty company was somewhat pleased that I would do the job for only 7K compared to what the dealer wanted. The labor to remove and install the tranmission was about 18 hours, very aggravating and time consuming.

That is a nightmare! :shocked2::shocked2::shocked2:

I want something that is comfortable and good on gas.

I've owned three GTOs in my life and a '72 Cuda, so I got that out of my system. :D

My friends that own BMWs and Mercedes all complain about the cost of maintenance and repair bills. I don't need or want that. I want something that is low maintenance and cheap. :p

Luxury with high-cost maintenance and sports vehicles that go fast are not my cup of tea anymore. ;)

The Ford doors shut soundly. They are solid. My brother's Taurus rides like a Cadillac. I'm leaning towards a Ford. It will probably be the last car I ever buy in my life. I thought my Volvo stationwagon would be, but if Volvo is going under, I want to get rid of it soon.
