The monthly Gold Mine giveaways are continuing in July with some really great prizes. First place will be a gorgeous OB Cue (photos to follow when we announce on front page) and second place will be a product of at least $150 in retail value.

In the coming year we will give away over $10,000 in cues, cases and other nice prizes to our Gold Members. If you wish to be eligible for the drawing on July 1 just join AZB before that date. To do so just go here.

Anyone who wins a first place prize will be receiving a prize that is worth at least 14 times more than they would pay for a single year's membership at $34.95. Second place winners get a prize worth at least 4 times their yearly investment.

The membership money gets us to more events and generates more advertiser interest. Advertisers give us more products for the giveaways. So the whole thing is a benevolent vicious circle.

How do they pick 'em? Put all the names in a hat and choose?
 
All Gold Members have a member number. We use a random number generator to pick a number and it is done.

I am trying to figure a way to do it live on the forums but when I mention it Mike gives me the 'look'. I think he has enough on his plate at the moment.

I should add that a member can only win first prize once each year.

Maybe there's a way to tie it to the PowerBall numbers. That would give all of us a little sweat bet. :)

Jerry, you guys are great. This is a nice way to repay the people who support AZB.
 
OK, OK....had to cave to the peer pressure again (and the lure of winning something!) I'm golden for a year!

They used to have a local group here caleld Root Boy Slim. One of his songs went like this: "Dare to be fat. Fat is where it's at."

Sounds like some great prizes. I must be easy to please. All I want is a sticky AZ case patch and a Property of AZ Billiards Tee shirt.

I want a sticker for my awesome $5 case. I've got Ninkasi, a local food place, Dave's Killer Bread and an Atlas Shrugged sticker, so I think an AZB sticker would round it off nicely. I wonder if there are any plans to put a custom Valley cue in the offerings. :thumbup:
