So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

Lee - what difference does it make which player she is talking to? I have talked to several players but won't post their names as well. Your comment is a human nature weakness reaction to someone that is involved in or done something wrong. Like if you tell your best friend that his girlfriend is cheating on him. After your friend confronts the whore, her first reaction won't be to admit it, Her reaction will be 'who told you that?' and then she will lash out at the person that told on her instead of trying to correct herself in life. She will tell everyone that so and so told on her trying to justify her actions in some minute way.

Lee - have you been paid up to date or is everyone not getting paid?

(remember some questions asked, the person asking may already know the answer to)

If the players are in fact NOT being paid, then shame on BB and screw them if they are trying to keep it under wraps. Being outed for not paying employees is a pretty minor punishment compared to the players not being paid.

You need to edit your post.

Strange how neither Nathan or Lee came right out and denied that they weren't being paid. Instead, just want to know who said what.:rolleyes:

I could be wrong, but I don't think we'll see a press release now like what we were expecting. I don't think there would be anything to gain from it.

Maybe quotes like this above will get you in trouble with actually which player you are getting info from, sure would like to know which player is telling you all this. - But i'm sure you won't reveal which player exactly you are talking too.

Quotes like this won't help you none either!

I happen to like watching the game and hope it does well with the pool world in general but what is so frickin hard about answering if the players are getting paid. It could be yes, no, partially, IOU for the future. Don't see many other options. Why don't someone just say or do they all have a hush clause in their contract to not talk about some things. Rumors on BB exist because when a question is asked sometimes a real answer never comes up; that is what people are p*issed about. Just be honest with everyone and let the chips lay where they may.

Kearls Oils Sands Expansion Project has only recently been expanded. It is still in its first phase.

Kearl lake oil sands project is not finished the first phase yet but starting on the second now. They are a small piece to the Alberta oil sands Suncor and Syncrude are big players

I guess I am not understanding you. It is public knowledge that Brandon and Mike Davis hail from the DC metropolitan area, which includes the States of Virginia and Maryland. They have competed in quite a few local tournaments here, which has been written up in the print pool media. No secrets there.

Both of these players, I am familiar with, talked to them, seen them play, hung out on the rail. As such, I worry about their security as any friend would. I remember when Mike Davis joined the UPA, much to my horror and surprise, but he was determined to be a tournament solidier, and that he is. I also remember when Mike Davis had to quit playing pool for a spell and took on a construction job because he needed money.

Brandon. I've seen him grow up in the pool room from a shortstop to what he is today. His first trip to Louisville, he came back a changed man after engaging in games of stake, almost like a man losing his virginity. He was on a mission to be the best professional pool player he could be, and by all recent accounts, it looks like he's accomplished his goal.

Now, just because I mention their names in a post, stating I hope they will survive in Vegas, knowing both have moved to Las Vegas from the East Coast, this is only a mere concern that I expressed about two players that I know a little background about.

Just so you know, I probably haven't spoken to Mike Davis in several years. Brandon, I spoke to briefly on the phone about 3 months ago when he was in Silver Spring, MD at a doctor's appointment, about a 5-minute drive from my house. It was before Bonus Ball ever came into the picture. In fact, now that I think about it, it might have been more like 6 months ago. Time flies when you're getting old.

Lee, you better stick to what you're doing because you'd sure make a lousy private detective.

Nothing to gain

You cannot blame Nathan or Lee for not stating whether they have been paid or not, because what could they possibly gain by divulging this information. If they have been paid, they might not be certain that all the players payments are up to date, so they could end up annoying them and if they haven't been paid they would just be adding more fuel to the fire on the forum.

My uneducated guess would be that they are behind on players payments (this could be due to pay roll issues or simply cash flow), but they have been promised that they will be up to date on payments shortly.
These types of issues often occur in start up businesses, especially when initial projections on revenue have to be revised.

The investors in Bonus Ball have invested far too much money and time to throw in the towel, so I would expect the payment issues to be resolved shortly.

I am sure that the press release will simply say that there have been logistical issues with payments, but they have now been resolved. The delay is probably because they are working on having something positive to put into the statement at the same time, as that will make the payment issue more palatable.

I have no vested interest in BB, I just have far too much time on my hands at the moment.

And let`s hope it remains there. Oil sand is the so environmentally unfriendly as oil production can get.
10 years ago we would never consider oil sand an option, but due to oil prices and dwindling resources,
Statoil, a Norwegian oil company, heavily supported by the Norwegian governement is one of the companies bidding for rights in Canada. Here in Norway, statoil is facing harsh critique for their involvement.

Anyhow after TONIGHTS Big Bonus Ball Meeting, we may see a press release tonight or tommorow.

Well then...you leave me no choice...we want William Shatner, Pamela Anderson, Michael J. Fox, Angelina Jolie, SCTV reruns and, of course, the Stanley Cup back (I will leave it to you to explain what you have done to the Chicago Blackhawks). You may keep Jim Carrey.

For your information, young lady, Bonus Ball was invented as another gift to the United States who we look upon as our dear neighbours. It wasn’t always like that. Let me give you some history.

1812 the United States invaded Canada. We sent you packing.....but.....being Canadian and naturally kind hearted by nature.....we felt bad about it. Felt bad, but did nothing.....that is until Michael Naismith took it upon himself to do something nice, a peace offering so to speak. He invented a game called Basket Ball, or BB, as it was called then. It was in 1891 that he invented this game for Americans to enjoy.

It took some time to refine, and, as I understand that the American public did not initially accept this in the spirit that it was offered. It seems some didn’t want this new game, fearing it would conflict with a sport they had recently stolen from China....Bow....Ling.

At any rate, BasketBall, or BB as it was known, was finally given to the American public to enjoy in 1913. To this day I understand that some of you folks still enjoy it......and Bow Ling, now known as Bowling is also popular.

As legend has it Michael Naismith’s was quoted from his deathbed in 1939 as saying, “Those American boys and girls seem to really like my game. I wish that someone else would come up with a similar gift on the 100th anniversary and each 100 years thereafter.

Now, the truth comes out....Bonus Ball is our 100th anniversary gift to you and was only delayed to meet Michael Naismith’s deathbed wish for a 2013 launch.

I hope you will be more supportive of our next gift...the name of which is a secret for now but the initials are.....BB.....and it debuts in 2114. I look forward to discussing it with you then.

Oh, and for your information, all forms of cue sports originated in France and I have it on good authority that they were introduced via Quebec, Canada, to the United States by Winnipegosa Fats.

It's not a problem, you can have all that back but you are NOT leaving Jim Carrey down here, you have to take him too.

Jenny knows most of the BB players except maybe some of the newcomers and foreign players that have came on the scene since Keith has been playing poker and not hustling pool.... So location may not be a good clue.. Hopefully the release kills the rumor mill since apparently more than Jenny is hearing things from the restless natives..... Until then grab your Pipe and Hat Holmes... Mystery is afoot!!!

Awesome post. Just today I was chatting with a girl who lost a $20 bet to me in high school. (She thought the Zep song Misty Mountain Hop was titled Misty Mountain TOP.)

She recalled that she still owed me and I told her a drink at the upcoming 20 year reunion followed by a spanking would suffice. :)

.

Disagree with the above. If investors were sold a story so far out from what the reality is, amount of money already invested shouldn't matter to their decision whether to continue. They need to have a reasonable expectation to earn at least the investment back, otherwise you are just firing good money after bad.
