Ewa Laurance in Chicago

Interesting that Brunswick is starting a new promotion effort called "Game On" to promote pool. I was under the impression that they didn't care anymore.

The same thought ran through my mind. Interesting, indeed! :)

Brunswick could not of picked a better person for this project/promotion.
Ewa is one of my favorite players, and an incredible ambassador for pool.

I like ewa but I gotta disagree. Jeanette is more well known. Im just happy to see brunswick back in the game either way.

That might be true but personality wise I think Ewa is a better pick. Interesting thing Brunswick has going. Really dig that table's look.

Maybe Ewa and or someone from Brunswick read AZ Billiards. We have been raking Brunswick over the coals here a bit lately. AZ POWER. Johnnyt

Actually Ewa has been supported in pool by Brunswick for a long time as we all know. What is it now? 20 years? 15? If they ain't doing nothing for "you" does not mean they are not doing nothing. And when I say "you" I don't mean you specifically Johnnyt.

And what do you know, Brunswick actually used REAL television.

How Jimmy Mataya ever got her is beyond me....

Brunswick should really make more impact in pool, I think they are really missing an opportunity.

I think Gold Crowns are awesome tables.

I wonder how many Gold Crown I, II, III, IV, V tables were made?

I know Ewa has been with Brunswick forever. Who is the male counterpoint?

I honestly don't know.

There is not one currently that I know of. I remember Mike Sigel was about the time Ewa started as well, but he quit playing for the longest time.

Maybe a male pro player should write and say they are being biased and ask for sponsorship? :D

Which brings a question deserving of it's own thread almost, if you were them (Brunswick), or any table manufacturer (Diamond, Olhausen etc...) who would you choose?

Disappointingly, the Brunswick website is out of date. The only player they show as one they sponsor is Ewa, but then they have a link for the WPBA, which is dead ---> Brunswick Billiards

The website seems unattended to. Maybe it is reflective of how much effort they put in their pool products -- not much. Glad to see they still sponsor Ewa. She's one of those beauties that doesn't need makeup. Just glows from inside. In fact, she doesn't wear much makeup in person. There is some truth to the saying "beauty is only skin deep."

Miss JAM, you are so right. Beauty is only skin deep.
Speaking of beauty, my Aunt Polly, here is looking for a fellow to escort her to the Greater Ozarks Wine and Turkey Sausage Festival, this coming August, in Branson.
Right now she's in the Benton County jail doing a stretch for shop lifting, but will be out by the end of July.
I thought maybe JohnnyT, or somebody might be interested.

There are so few professional players that I would have representing me if I was a company.

I have mentioned it many, many times, yet so many here make comments like it isn't important to dress and act in a professional manner. Go to DCC, and there appears to have two type of players.

1. Those who are professional, in dress and action and understand they are representing us for potential future.

2. Those who dress and act in a manner...(okay you get it).

So who?

SVB, Corey Duell, Archer, Varner, Schmitt, Harriman, etc.

Ken

Ewa is one of the classiest ladies involved with pool. Always has been and always will be. We are all very, very lucky to have her as a spokesperson for the pool industry..
