If You Could Ask One AZer One Question . . .

To tell you the truth, I've never really had a devastating loss to where I would want to quit playing. Maybe take a break for a day or two, but that's why I have other avenues to be able to make money. Pool was not just the only thing that I relied on to make money.

There was one occasion when I was playing Allen Hopkins. I believe it was in Memphis or Ohio. It could have been Ohio. I was down 10 to 5 in the finals, and I got the score 10 to 10. I was running out for the win. Just as I was down on the 7-ball, some guy jumped up from out of the clouds in the crowd, and he was the only one you could hear, loud as hell, and sharked the sh*t out of me on purpose. I'll never forget it. Needless to say, I jumped straight up on the ball, and Allen won the set 11 to 10. It cost me about 7,000.

I've always been pretty good at overcoming adversity. I used to spot people all the time just to get a game, take the worst of it. So any kind of dart they would throw at me, I sort of took it well. I've never been damaged by losses, just hurt a little bit, but it never took me a long time to regroup.

There's been a lot of heartbreaking losses. I mean, I could go right on down the line, but that one with Allen sort of got to my goat a little bit, the way I was treated in that finals match. It's a shame when it just has to be one character, but you always have two or three bad eggs anywhere you go.

Thanks for the candid response Keith.

Overcoming adversity seems to be a trend among people who excel in their chosen field. That loss to Allan would have been tuff to take, it's a shame some people can't respect the game and players enough to keep their mouth shut in a situation like that. It makes me wonder if he had money riding on Allan.

You're an outstanding player Keith and I've always enjoyed every chance I get to see you play.

I'd ask Fatboy to come outside with me and share a bowl. OG! (I have back issues too).
;)

If he ever gets out East, I can take care of his back as well. The pharmaceutical grade stuff going around these days is, quite literally, just what the doctor ordered.

FWIW I ain't ashamed of toking up now and then. I don't need a medical excuse, it just makes me feel good, like booze does. I don't get the hype that's still involved with smoking. Seems to still be a taboo subject to bring up, even among veteran users.

I was at a big party on the 4th and I got talking to this guy who was speaking in code, hinting around if I smoked (I certainly look like I might). Finally I invited him over to my car and split a joint with him. Turns out he is a retired NYS asst. attorney general, who served for 26 years under Abrams, Vacco, Spitzer, and Cuomo. All that time he was an inveterate smoker. He said he's even smoked with a few chief justices. So, the same guys that are prosecuting low-level users and sending them off to jail have been committing the same "crimes" behind our very backs. Who'da thunk, eh?

Not sure how I feel about that allegaton...I guess I believe it, but my point is not to challenge the validity of your claim, rather to state that their job, as Prosecuters, is to prosecute offenders in accordance with established precedents,, not to make laws or arrest people.

Party on.

Is it just me or does the picture of Pots & Pans that JAM posted look like all three of the Marx brothers rolled into one?

Too cool

Great thread Brian!

Who?: John Barton

What?: Whether my assumptions are true that he sits behind his laptop sipping ice cold tsingtao, laughing his butt off over how wound up he can get folks.

I would ask Fatboy what drugs he does and how often he does them.

I would ask this question due to the fact that he references doing drugs often in his posts and he often seems as if he posts while under the influence.

been off Rx drugs for 5 years, except methotrexate.

i used to do roids(miss them)

never smoked weed once, no coke, no meth. did hydrocodone when my back was real bad-never for fun etc. nothing stronger

i never been a drinker, i'm saving my liver for steroids;)

i joke around about drugs, truth is i always been scared of drugs.

:):)

if i could ask 1 AzB'er 1 question .. .

I'd ask Smorg if he wanted to go fishing.

Unfortunately, I waited to long before I asked.

Serious. I don't know how one could exist in Vegas without AC and ice cold beer.

You cant exist here without AC, its impossible or close to it. Myself, i dont drink anymore, been over 19 years now. Its too much trouble if you get a DUI and god forbid you hurt someone, forget it, youre in a world of hurt.

Some poor old guy died here about a week or two ago because his AC went out, i read that and i felt terrible. I know a lot of these AC repair guys are rip off artists to the max, i had one guy try to scam me and i chased him off the property and he was real close to getting hurt real bad. I got a lot of lessons on what can go wrong with a unit and why, im no expert but i have learned and this dope thought i was a mook who he was going to get over on, big surprise for him, lol.

I was wondering if they tried to scam this guy and he didnt have the money for a new compressor, so he died because of the heat.

Sorry to ramble.
