If You Could Ask One AZer One Question . . .

Let me ask all of you a question,
Why it is, when a thread has gone on for six, or seven pages, it has either gotten off topic, or completely gone to hell in a hand basket? I just don't understand, but it happens a lot around here.

It's because I made an attempt to contribute to this thread, what I thought would be a fun thread, but, you see, I'm a troll magnet. Haven't you heard? Whatever and whenever I post, the trolls come out to play.

any and pretty much every interesting thread on any forum gets derailed in one form or another when you have multiple people posting in it... There could be multiple different conversations going on within a thread and could be on or off topic. same as in real life.

you got some issues going on there :) You need to calm down, go ahead and post with keiths account. I am just saying, i dont think its right but that is just my opinion is all.

looking for some more *on topic* contributions.

In TV terms, it's called "Jumping the shark". A reference to the show "Happy Days" where The Fonz jumped a shark tank on skis.

Basically it means we've taken this show (or thread) in this instance as far as it is going to go on the topic.

I don't think it's accurate on this thread per se. I think this one just got de-railed for a page or so (probably my fault for my question).

But others such as the BB threads. or the DO/Rob pulling up thread. Just about all that could be said, has been said.

Keith is a very literate person.....
..which anybody who has seen him make a game and keeping the action going can attest to.
I'm a bit like that myself....I can rap in person ....I need JAM's computer skills.....
...as a matter of fact, if I have an important and lengthy post to make, I'm gonna PM JAM
for her phone number......and I'll still be responsible for what appears on AZ.

Which begs a question in the original spirit of this thread......
....Primo, why????

Questions for Joey A...

How many tourney's do you comment on?
Are you trying to grow the number, or is it based on convenience/locale?
Is it something you hope to one day make a living on?

LOL I hate this because of all the side tracks. Secondly, there are a ton of questions I would have for a bunch of folks.

1. Artie - How much damned money did you make middling the bets? Did you lose it all or are you still a freakin millionaire?

2. Bill - What were you thinking with the "Dream Cue"? I always thought you were pretty sharp and straight shooter, what is the deal?

3. Glen - Really?

4. Keith Mc - Do you have a freakin clue how many fans you have? How many of us love to watch you play? (FWIW - I would compare you to Buddy Hall, both have legions of fans, both are certainly way past their prime, both have made mistakes (like who hasn't?). Keith - we know you aren't the player that you were in the 70's, neither is Buddy....But you need to notice when Buddy goes to DCC, the TON of folks that want to shake Buddy's hand, have him sign a cueball, etc. I truly wish you could have been there and seen the TON of railbirds that followed Cole when he played his last DCC. Yep, people will point at you to their friends like they do Buddy, Cole and the rest and that may make you uncomfortable but there are tons of folks that want to see you play.)

Okay that was more than one question.

Question for JAM...

Are you posting on behalf of Keith? I don't doubt he is saying the words, just wondering if you do the typing since you do it so well?

Not calling Keith computer illiterate either. I just picture the household something like this..

You on the computer..."Honey, someone's asking you a question on AZ". Do you care to answer?

Keith on the sofa with a beer..."What's it about"?

JAM..."Wants to know when you'll come out and play"?

Keith..."When we can travel without the dog getting sick and when my old lady will let me".

JAM...Ok honey, I'll paraphrase a little bit. :grin-square:

This got a laugh out of me...I so wish I could my wife to do this for me..the message content would be so much better..she can spell..but alas I'm left to trying to post on my phone..its easier that way..

My question would be, would you play anyone you didn't know a set for your pocket? Maybe the better question would be, would you play one more after you lose your pocket to the unknown.

i have many times one gane or a set for what i had in my pocket(years ago that was all i had), or flipped for what i had, or played big bank takes little bank. i have won and lost at both.

And no i wouldnt fire a air barrel.

i dont sweat $$$ as much as people think, it comes and goes.

I'd ask Larry Chiborak - WTF are you really up to, 'cause we're all squirming in our seats wondering - while you burn the benjies. It's hard to get behind something when we're being mushroomed.

I will add that the ridicule Keith has gotten posting on this forum makes it so he really doesn't enjoy it much. There are others who feel the same way you do, so you're in good company.

Keith knows how to use a computer, FWIW, but his expertise lies in poker sites, not forum software.

He doesn't play for real money on these poker sites...

What is she playing with now?

Didn't know she wasn't playing with Cue-Tec.

We've had a couple bumps in the road. One of them is our new dog. Our dog gets car sick when he drives in the car, and we will not put him in a kennel. We've already experienced that. So when he gets to where he can drive, without getting sick, that's when it will be sooner.

Maybe you should drive, and just let the dog ride.:confused:

Last I heard (and it's been a while now), she had given up her Cuetec sponsorship and was playing with (and sponsored by) Star cues.
