Here's My 4000th Post . . .

A few weeks back a very dramatic event was revealed here on az. It was one of those things that feels like a hard shot to the belly. And that's just for those of us who read about it. :(

Of course, I am referring to fellow az'er, and all around good guy, Lock N Load, who tragically lost his daughter to murder for, apparently, being a witness to another murder. How incredibly sad.

Lock is a prolific poster here with a dynamic and engaging personality. He stopped posting, though, shortly after announcing this terrible news and his post count has been stuck at 3999 (just like mine) ever since.

So, I have chosen to make my 4000th post a notice to Mr. Lock N Load wanting to let you know that you and your family definitely remain in mine, and I'm sure many others', thoughts and prayers.

I hope you will be feeling up to making your post #4000 very soon.

We could use some of your positivity around here. :)

best,

4,000??? Newb. :D

I'm happy to report that LNL finally made it back to work. He has been sharing things on Facebook in the Lock Society group, in a big way, trying to keep his mind busy.

He IS a really good guy who loves pool and the many characters in it. I know he wants his 4,000th post to be a really good one and I don't think he has been mentally prepared to make one since losing his girl.

Hope he comes back soon.

Great 4K post Brian, I always enjoy seeing your posts. Hope Mr. L&L returns soon, as one never fully heals from something like this but only gains strength to continue to live. Looking forward to your next 4K!
:D

Congrats, Kickin' Chicken.
Something has to be said for dedication and loyalty to a website. Keep up the good work!

Great post Brian. I too would like to see Lock comeback...but only when he feels it's time. Johnnyt

As a recently new member and poster here about to break my 100 post cherry, 4,000 seems light years away. I do in fact remember reading of his loss, it just didn't feel right for me to reply to the post being such a "newb" around here.
I have read many of LNL posts and have to say, he seems to be a genuinely good guy judging by his numerous responses I've come across reading older threads. I am extremely proud of the fact that my very first "greenie" come from Mr.LnL himself just before his tragic loss.
I'm certain he has gone through a plethora of emotions and continues to present. I'm not good with words or emotions, but I do feel for him and his family. When he feels the time is right to resume posting again, I look extremely forward to what he has to say. Until that time comes, I as I'm sure we all, respect his absence in his and families time of healing. Hang in there champ, we'll be here waiting for ya..........

Excellent thread for a milestone post, KC.

I too miss Lock's sunny disposition....and I hurt for him.

Keep your boat on top of the waves.....unlike pt109...;)

Great idea

I know Lock personally, he's a beautiful guy who will really appreciate your kind gesture, so thanks for being so thoughtful.

Brian-congrats on the 4000th, and Kudos to you on how you have used it.

Hopefully Lock n Load will take some comfort in knowing others here respect any need for space that he may be feeling.

Four thousand posts? My, how time flies. It seems like only yesterday when a young Kickin' Chick was asking the question, "What's the best tip for my Cuetec, a Triangle, or one of Steamer's new FourSkins?"
Oh by-the-way, I just got off the horn with Mike, and he said a tee-shirt was on it's way. Well done, my friend. :)

Great choice for a 4k post, I don't know what you are referring to, but I hope all is well with LNL! Great post KC!

Thumbs up

Thumbs up to you Brian.

I certainly miss Lock N Load posting here all of the time like he used to. He is the kindest, most humble, and best poster of all on AZB.

It's more than understandable with what he's going through, but Lord willing he'll be back in full force when he's ready.

Lock, we miss you and we're still thinking of you and praying for you.

Thanks Brian for your 4000th post, Jerry
