Why not a cue maker reality show???
Just saw this new TV show called "Duck Dynasty" they make duck calls and are a HUGE success!!

Like cake boss makes these theme cakes! Cue makers make theme cues!It might be the best way to get the sport on TV!!!

If there was a cuemaker that was as interesting as the Robertsons maybe, but make no mistake the ability to capture the pop culture zeitgeist by Duck Dynasty has absolutely 0 to do with duck calls.

The cuemaker would have to be a whack-job who curses out his customers for it to have any interest. It would have maybe some appeal as a documentary maybe but I doubt any one in the TV industry would pay for it. Someone would have to invest a lot on money in getting something in the can to have to shop around. Who is putting up that kind of money?

I think the cue making process takes too long for TV. What's cool or funny about seeing someone turn a piece of wood on a lathe?

I do not see this happening very soon, as sponsors who pay the bills would not be lining up to throw their advertising dollars at a failure like Cue Maker Reality Show. IMHO there is no market for this show

IMHO John Taffer of Bar Rescue, could do a few shows on failing Pool Bars, but I already know why most of the failing Pool Bar, are failing from watching the regular show BAR RESCUE on Spike TV.

Maybe that old guy from Moonshiners "Jim Tom" knows how to make cues, after all he can build a still out of copper from scratch.:grin:

That would cure insomnia better than golf.

Aslo, Duck Dynasty has nothing to do with duck calls.
 
I have pics!!! True story.

But make no mistake... even if he were approached to do a show like this, it would likely revolve more around his personality, his daily life, and his every day business. Cues would be waaaaaaay in the background.

What sells these shows and makes them watchable are the personalities of those the camera follows. Its kinda formulaic...
Step 1) Find someone who does something weird/unusual/dangerous for a job
Step 2) Do they make a lot of money? No? Pass. Yes? Continue to step 3.
Step 3) Are they likeable/loveable/relatable/weird? No? Pass. Yes? Follow them with cameras.

Put a camera on Deikman and people will tune in weekly to see what whacky stuff he's up to.

Put a camera on most of the others and people probably won't give the show the time of day.
