Did anyone hear Jayson Commenting about doing deals with SVB?

Interesting.

Savers are everywhere. But I don't think they should be discussed on the stream.

Hmmm, splitting and the casino bug. Our American pie might be missing a few slices. Johnnyt

Sounded somewhat self congratulatory i.e. Shane offered to split with me, Jayson and therefore I am as good as Shane and he knows it would be a risk not to split with me and he, Shane, would not offer the same split to Earl because he knows he can beat him and therefore Earl is not as good as me, Jayson Shaw.

Why not discuss them? If they're not against the rules of the tournament, I'm sure the audience would be interested to know whether a saver is in place.

Most likely because Shane knows there is a very good chance that Earl will go on tilt and lose the match for him. Johnnyt

Calcutta's

This is why Calcutta's S#*K. You buy a player and they carve up the winnings with the opponent!

Knowing that and placing 3rd would upset me so much that I'd seriously consider breaking my jump cue in half

...oh, wait.

SVB playing head games

Maybe SVB was using some psychology on young Mr. Shaw! What if by him telling Jayson that he would spilt with him added a little extra pressure on him an never mind inflating his ego just a wee bit. Now SVB gets what he wanted, to play one of his idols and Jayson has to wait to chop a different tournament. Food for thought, discuss.....

I never thought SVB was a dumper and don't have a lot of respect for any of the players involved in the Challenge of Champions scandal.

Interesting angle. We can speculate all we want, but we'll never know.

SVB, in the hotseat, offering a carve job before the semis just doesn't make sense to me.

Is this a real thing that Shane has a problem with gambling at casinos? Or is this just something that someone made up?

Someone mentioned one time on a stream he dropped a bunch of money (5 figures?) in a casino once.
That's it. People were mad that this was mentioned because it sort of implies shane has a problem
even though he probably doesn't. I guess those people have a point...

BIG difference between dumping and savers.

I dunno why they're even brought up in the same sentence. That's baffling.
Having a dump overheard on the stream would kill all your sponsorships and sour all your fans.
The only reason past dumpers got away with it is by keeping it reasonably secret,
it's always rumor and he-said-she-said.

A saver though is harmless, harmless enough that Shaw has no problem discussing it
on air in front of hundreds of people.

Worst that happens is the competitors give it a halfassed effort, but from my experience
good players are very competitive, especially in front of an audience. Shane would not like
to lost to guys like shaw publicly and have them say "shane's starting to lose it".

Just to clarify my statement...

I am ok with savers in the game. IMO, the saver has absolutely nothing with how the game is played. It is not a dump, it's simply a financial safety net for tournament players.

I've had savers arranged, normally with friends of mine when we bump up against each other while in, or close to, the money. The saver never had an impact on my game as to me it's not a direct chop and my competitiveness makes me want to win whether there is a saver or not.

And yes, I do think they should be kept off streaming. Just like in the WSOP, the final table has savers galore, but you don't hear them talking about it while playing because for the viewers, it's fun to believe someone is getting that $8m prize all to themselves.

Look at the Challenge of Champions. It's 2 vs 2 for $5k. Would it be interesting if we all knew $1250 each before they played?
