Maryland 14.1 Championships

That's nice. Danny Barouty was just presented with a blue ball box as a going away present. :)

Some first day results

So far from the first day at Maryland. I hear Bobby Hunter and Ralph Eckert are still fighting it out for taking their flight.

Maybe they are hosting it on Sunday/Monday because the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur fell on Saturday. I had to miss a local one-day tournament because it was scheduled for Saturday.

Are the round robbin flights read down or across in this event? I've always read them across, but I'm a bit lost on this one...

Thank you.

Thank you.

The rows (across/horizontal) show how many points the player named at the left of the row scored against each of the other players.

The columns (down/vertical) show how many points the player named at the top of the column gave up against each of the other players.

Ok, thanks guys. That's how I thought they were read, but some of the scores just didn't make sense to me. I guess anything can happen when everyone can play some:)
