I'd like to see the match also. I will try to get a hold of Danny to see if he wants to play.If they just stuck to pool without any bs..it would be a great match!

Mark it will not happen so you are wasting your time.Me and you have had many conversations and trust me I know this one for sure.I talked to Mark Griffin last year and we discussed it and I even offered to add 2-3k myself to try to get the 3rd match together as long as I could commentate the match and Mark agreed but there was way to many problems involved.It is amazing how pool players burn so many bridges and then think everything will just disappear and it all goes away till they actually need money and there is way to much hatred between Danny and John.
I will let you know there is absolutely no way I would offer any money again to see this match after the way John has acted and constantly insulted me..Like the old saying goes never look a gift horse in the mouth.I could care less if the match ever happens again as it wouldn't help pool anyways but if it does it should be a winner takes all with no guaranteed money or savors at all and let the players put up there own money and may the best player win.The other issue is I don't think Mark and Justin would be interested in a ppv so where would the money come from to pay the players.

Hey Bobby, hope all is well wit you sir. I know i'm fighting losing battle some times but I got to try and give things a shot sometimes. I can try an get the money together to make it worth while but I have to talk to Danny to even see if its a match he wants.
You need to come down to Arizona for a week and get out of that friggin cold this winter. I got a room for ya to stay in at my house. Let me know and hope to see you again soon brother.

Ohh maybe it's cause I play too slow, either way I won't be pressured into there high pressure sales tactics. I will play the match when it's time - right now is not the time, just as a few years ago when I wnated to play - it was not the right time for John.

actually i have a massively winning record against him and a much better tournament resume. we r not evenly matched and our careers show that.
i play hardly ever anymore but prime for prime he hasnt won half what i have.
hes great player though and if u bet on him he could win. i hope he plays i could use some practice.

Danny called me late last night and I had my kids and so I decided to put the kids first an didn't take the call. I have called him twice today and got voicemail so I guess I will have to see if he calls me back.

I know you have won the DCC at One Pocket and Danny won the Banks one year at DCC. BOTH of you have many other titles, etc.
All I am saying is I think you are both accomplished players.
I have said forever that you guys BOTH missed an opportunity to bring 14.1 to the next level in USA. Both of you guys, IMO, truly love the game and are passionate about it.
I have said forever my favorite match I would like to see would be Keith McCready and David Matlock. You guys would be my second pick.
I can understand why both of you are out of stroke as there really isnt any reason to be in stroke with the condition of pool today.
But like the McCready/Matlock (that will never happen), there are lots of us that would like to see the Harriman/Schmidt show again too.
See I didnt throw hardly a pebble at either of you.

I can't speak for John Schmidt as I haven't heard from him in a long while but occasionally I talk to Danny.
I doubt that Danny would turn down the opportunity to play John again if the conditions were right. I think Danny can put aside any appearance o dislike that may or may not exist between he and John to have a high quality match between the two of them.
Danny seldom mentions much about John, so I don't think he harbors ill feelings toward John. Danny does wear his heart on his sleeve so he isn't going to cow-down to anyone who gets on his back.
I would love to see Danny and John play another big match that highlights their skills. It would be good for pool and it could be very good for John and Danny. I don't know of any matchup that could equal the drama that this one could provide, let alone the possible revenue that it could bring in for the live streamer/promoter.

Joey, I don't know either of them. All I am going on is how they have acted toward each other in the past on this forum.
If Danny really feels no ill will toward John, I think you are right in that this would be a great thing for pool, and especially for 14.1, which is a beautiful game that appears to be having somewhat of a comeback. I'd pay to see them match up again, I'm a great admirer of both of their games.

It's easy for me to be around or talk to anyone who is just civil. I'll always meet the other person halfway and I'll be first. It's just how I am. After that, the relationship just takes its course.
Truly Ken, I enjoy everyone's company in the booth. I like diverse opinions and perspectives as long as they are decent and respectful.
I like to insure that my co-commentator has a good time and enjoys their time in my booth. So far, it has all been golden. :smile:
It would be nice to visit some new tournaments around the U.S. and around the world just to do commentary.
I know this sounds CRAZY but I would even enjoy doing commentary alongside someone else who spoke an entirely different language during the live stream. Unfortunately, my only language is English but as live streaming continues to gain in popularity, I think other countries that have live streams in a language other than English would see the value of having an English commentator in addition to their native language. I couldn't dream of having a translator in the booth for the both of us. That would be over the moon. :yeah:

There is an old saying and I'm not speaking for John or Danny but it goes like this: "Time heals all wounds."
I think John truly respects Danny's pool game and I know Danny respects John's pool game. They each have different personalities but their competitive fire is second to none and against each other, it is WHITE HOT.

Agreed! The whole 'Shane Show' match up's are tired.. imo.
They both should take a look at Money Maywether imo.

There is no need for a promoter in this match and there is nothing Chilli can do that Danny or John can't do theirself.
