I'd like to see the match also. I will try to get a hold of Danny to see if he wants to play.If they just stuck to pool without any bs..it would be a great match!
Hey Ken, I could not remember how it went down the last attempt but you are right from my memory.
Just to be clear I would have done the same thing as Justin as it makes sense. If I called John and he said no This thread would not have happened. He said he would play and so that's a starting point. If I somehow get in touch with Danny and he says yes then I can move on to what kind of money I need to put up. That could kill it right there. So just trying to give it a shot. I am getting info from some people that are telling m that this may be a match that I will regret trying to do so lets see. Anyone got contact info for Danny?
Mark it will not happen so you are wasting your time.Me and you have had many conversations and trust me I know this one for sure.I talked to Mark Griffin last year and we discussed it and I even offered to add 2-3k myself to try to get the 3rd match together as long as I could commentate the match and Mark agreed but there was way to many problems involved. It is amazing how pool players burn so many bridges and then think everything will just disappear and it all goes away till they actually need money and there is way to much hatred between Danny and John.
I will let you know there is absolutely no way I would offer any money again to see this match after the way John has acted and constantly insulted me..Like the old saying goes never look a gift horse in the mouth.I could care less if the match ever happens again as it wouldn't help pool anyways but if it does it should be a winner takes all with no guaranteed money or savors at all and let the players put up there own money and may the best player win.The other issue is I don't think Mark and Justin would be interested in a ppv so where would the money come from to pay the players.
Bobby
I think it is dead even too.
You say that and you pi$$ them both off.
Ken
Hey Bobby, hope all is well wit you sir. I know i'm fighting losing battle some times but I got to try and give things a shot sometimes. I can try an get the money together to make it worth while but I have to talk to Danny to even see if its a match he wants.
You need to come down to Arizona for a week and get out of that friggin cold this winter. I got a room for ya to stay in at my house. Let me know and hope to see you again soon brother.
mark bobs probably right ,match wont happen. heres an idea ill play bob instead. ill put up 5000 and he puts up 0. if he beats me money goes to charity. 1000 point game of 14.1.
actually i have a massively winning record against him and a much better tournament resume. we r not evenly matched and our careers show that.
i play hardly ever anymore but prime for prime he hasnt won half what i have.
hes great player though and if u bet on him he could win. i hope he plays i could use some practice.
Mark, I think the reason why we aren't seeing a rematch between them is because neither one of them wants to put their intense and very public dislike for each other aside and settle this on the table. Very sad when grown men can't get the proper perspective on the game. I wish they were all like Shane and Jayson and just take on all comers and leave their personal feelings aside.
I can't speak for John Schmidt as I haven't heard from him in a long while but occasionally I talk to Danny.
I doubt that Danny would turn down the opportunity to play John again if the conditions were right. I think Danny can put aside any appearance o dislike that may or may not exist between he and John to have a high quality match between the two of them.
Danny seldom mentions much about John, so I don't think he harbors ill feelings toward John. Danny does wear his heart on his sleeve so he isn't going to cow-down to anyone who gets on his back.
I would love to see Danny and John play another big match that highlights their skills. It would be good for pool and it could be very good for John and Danny. I don't know of any matchup that could equal the drama that this one could provide, let alone the possible revenue that it could bring in for the live streamer/promoter.
I should have also said that I don't speak for Danny either and these are only my musings.

Joey -
I thought you and Danny in the booth was easy and not forced, just very natural.
Kinda like peanut butter and jelly...
Who have enjoyed in the booth? It seemed you and Danny really clicked.
Ken
Joey, I don't know either of them. All I am going on is how they have acted toward each other in the past on this forum.
If Danny really feels no ill will toward John, I think you are right in that this would be a great thing for pool, and especially for 14.1, which is a beautiful game that appears to be having somewhat of a comeback. I'd pay to see them match up again, I'm a great admirer of both of their games.
Regardless of their feelings for each other, these two make a great match up. The rematch on TAR was phenomenal with the one pocket going hill-hill in a race to 10 and the 10 ball was something like 30-28. The straight pool had I think 4 runs of over 100.
They are very evenly matched and I wouldn't mind sweating a little more action .
alphadog;441 bob chamberlin and harriman r not bad guys said:Like I said I will never support anything that you are involved in and it never had to be that way but your non stop insults proved to me you could never change your ways. Stay broke John,Oh did gold prices go down lately haha.Like you said John im a 250lb guy that might get belly hooked on the table playing I will reoffer you to throw your keyboard away and meet me in the parking lot again with no one around but just us to settle everything.
I understand your jealousy and its ok you will get over it someday.
The real John has come out in the last couple years and people have gotten to hear about it and also see your ridiculous actions on tar also. Anyways congrats on winning a couple tourneys that I will give you even though you didn't have the balls to play without making any savors.
John I thought a lot of your ability to play and ignored all the crap that everyone said about you and what you done until you started with me unprovoked and your attitude, sharking and cheating ruined it for you with me and many people. Go back to facebook now John as you are starting to sound like a begger.
