This whole road trip thing is only possible from the money he gets from lessons. When the lessons dry up the road trip ends quickly. Johnnyt

You're right, you don't have to give up control to become a good player but if you put yourself into a coach/student relationship then you SHOULD give up a lot to get as much knowledge as possible.
In my opinion if someone really wants to get better and they have the opportunity then they should empty their cup.
If a person wants something bad enuff, they will make the necessary sacrifices to achieve
their goal.
I don't see this as being submissive. The word Submissive has a totally different meaning than the words Self Sacrifice.
Your goals would be achieved by two different standards.
It was nice that Rhea turned over approx $1400 to Gene but in reality, how far is one going to get on that kind of road money. Not far unless someone was managing it for you.
We got a race horse pawing the ground at the starting gate and Gene needs to settle it down until the time is proper.

Realistically, it will end if she can't pull her own weight on the road.
It's sad and not what anybody would like to see, but the reality is they face a harsh existence out there. It can end any moment. That will probably be for her best anyway. She has a future and a whole life ahead of her.

One cold fact is its hard to be a road player when your posting the guys name your about to supposedly rob. No offense but like stated before the lessons are paying the way. I spent years on the road with Richie Rich and JHall and I don't remember posting on here about playing 10 ahead for 10 $.

Number 2, Rhea has a lot to learn about surviving on the road.
Number 3, Gene has Rhea's best interest at heart.
You seem to want to bring some feminist resentment or at least some angst into this relationship and there is no need for it. Rhea needs to learn how to survive on the road and I'm sure Gene wants Rhea to improve her level of play, but more importantly, she has to learn how to manage and make more money than she is spending.

Many players out there have taken road trips and have experienced many of the things that Rhea and myself have done,
many have not.
The input of the have nots is pretty important also because it rweally gives them an insight on how things really are out here.
Some of the input is really off the wall and wouldn't work out here but some is spot on.
I'm sure the spot on is from players that have either been out here or they are pretty sharp cookies and would succeed at almost anuthing.
Anyway, I think it is great.
Got contacted today about making this into some kind of reality show. I might even bring Zack back into the picture for that. He would be a great character to have on the screen.
If I can get this off the ground I think it would be great for pool.
Plus it would be tons of fun.
Rhea is such a character. Everyone would just love her almost rediculous honesty.
She tells everyone everything. I have to tell her.
SSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH all the time.
Thos duck guys wouldn't have nothin over on us and we would have about 2 million viewers almost instantly.
4 million after a week or 2.

This is getting to be too much. I'm wondering if you and Ray are even in reality. All those meds you's are taking are making you's loopy. It's funny though. If that's what you want to leave as your legacy, so be it. Hahaha
My mentor snapped off the tournament tonight, hes in bed resting up for the big qualifier tomorrow. I got some side action but it wasn't with the person I originally planned to play, although he showed up he didn't feel like playing against me. So I played the kid that won 2nd place at the tournament instead. We only played for $5 per rack and at the end of 25 mins or so I was only up 2 racks of 9 ball before he threw in the towel. We got half the calcutta as well
