Here we are talking about pool dying off and this crazy thinker is comming up with ways to take it to a new level. Hats off to Max Eberle
I must admit ive had dreams of a giant 8 ball before but that wasent what I had in mind. Thanks for dreaming. maybe it will wake a few of us up.

Now that is frickin cool.... really nice ! Will be nice to see if this comes to fruition or not.
 
I bet, at least for a few months, it will be one of the top places to go to in any city even for non-pool players if this thing is built.

Make sure it has a top restaurant and chef there and you have a great go-to spot on dates.

Maybe call it Minnesota Fats Fat 8-Ball Club and Lounge to get some name recognition.
 
This great concept envisaged by Eberle and his team doesn't surprise me. He possesses quite the artistic mind.

I like and respect all innovation, especially if it's in our industry. This would be another great platform in leading the U.S. in the promoting and fostering our world sport!

These renderings make me drool. WOW! How freaking bad-ass would it be to be in one of these domes drilling Max (I need the 2 and out ;))?

But I'd like to respectfully ask - will one or more be built? Seems like a tall mountain to climb dollar wise. What's the chances it will become a reality? Where's it stand?

I wanna go to one!
 
As cool as the interior is, not digging that it's a giant 8-ball.

Anyone else feel this looks like something the Chinese would build in one of their giant empty cities?
 
At minimum $1m per investor (preferred), this looks like it has the potential to lose more money than any other pool venture in history, but wish you good luck none the less.
 
How is the center table going to be lit ??. The place looks awesome and could be the center of the billiard universe.
 
This a beautiful building concept. The one thing I would change is this; I would increase the amount of seating in the main match arena... this facility would pack em in like days of old. A minimum of 2000 seats would be needed for the finals matches of World Championship One Pocket, Straight Pool, 8 Ball, 9 Ball & 3 Cushion Billiards.

What a concept.....
 
I'm pretty sure that something like this exists in Europe somewhere. Mark Hoffsteader (sp?) I think has some pix of it on his site/blog. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Regardless... I think this is a great concept - but I do agree that the giant black 8-ball might not be the best visually appealing design to the city's eyes; though it's hard to pick a number/ball that would work better than all the rest.

I have see the pic too, but I don't recall the interior being anything like presented by max.

Not sure if it was one of Marks pics. If I remember, somewhere in Holland.

Twas a very nice pool hall. One huge 8 Ball on the outside of the building as part of the signage I think. Possibly the entrance way. You kind of walked thru a huge 8 Ball to enter the hall. Something like that.

One of the Poison girls was on a European tour and she maybe had taken the pic.

I can't remember her name, she is, was a member here. She did post some pics of her trip at one time.

I would remember her name if I Googled Poison pool girls or something or if someone here said her name.

Possibly a Spanish last name.

nice idea but that wont be able to make any money. and people with a million to invest will just laugh at that.
