We were going to go. In fact, I was planning on driving out there, but when the government shutdown occurred, my entire work schedule went upside down. I'm still trying to plow out from the overload.
Our pool destination goal now is the DCC at end of January. I figure if I can drive down -- 14-hours drive each way -- hang out for a day or two and then drive back home, I might be able to swing it. I have no one to delegate my workload to, and some of my jobs are immediate delivery. I can't do that on the road.
I really don't care for Vegas, but I would have loved to have gone to the Mosconi Cup celebration this year because of the anniversary. I will have to watch it at home on my computer.
For those who are stuck at home with me, I hope to be able to provide LIVE UPDATES like I did for the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship semi-finals this year. I can do what I do best, which is give a play-by-play account of what's happening as it is happening. :wink2:

Trust me I do feel bad about it. I actually have to play league that night out of town too with a guy who teeters on the edge of being banned from VNEA for his antics.
I will get to spend the weekend in the mountains out of cell coverage with a pretty girl and a fire though. Oh, and bears. Mountain lions too. Possibly some sheep and goats. At least I can be a ba'a'a'ad man if I can hang on to one of those wooly buggers.
