to be honest I don't like the "cue ball in the box" break, and I don't like golden break, what is golden when we saw almost 10 of them in the first 2 days?
In some tournament here in Vietnam, we play 9ball racking the same way, but does not limit where to break from. some players figured out how to pot balls and have the next shot, yes, powerful but still controlled breaks, not all over the place like I saw in the Mosconi. It seems team Europe have practice the so-called golden break, that is because of "the box".
and I am truly surprised to see those top top top players struggling to break with the 9 on the spot, even since the World Cup of Pool, they haven't practice this break since then?
