Holy coldness batman...

a HIGH of -17 tomorrow morning without including windchill....i am building a blanket fort in my living room and refusing to be an adult

:rotflmao::killingme:

we had -11 for a low here other nite, and what you have now is coming here tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. Its like being in a meat locker!

When you get to # 8 you should be ready to go.

Just in case you guys think I am kidding type in 50265 at weather.com...

Tomorrow morning....

Beer #4 is making me think I can beat the 9 ball ghost straight up...wife wants to play though..damn...choices choices...

SPIMP - good thing yáll got your new furnace!

it's getting down to 9 degrees tonight @ NC. so all the rain today/tonight, will turn to sleet & ice.

We've been below zero for days now. Today, it got up into the 20's and sunny, so the snow and ice on the roof started to melt, and guess where it ended up, coming thru my ceiling.

Now then, our forecast calls for temps up to 40 tomorrow, and rain. Imagine my excitement. Then, next day, back to zero again.

Yay us. And I have no beer, and too tired to go get some. Sigh.

Here it is in Munster, Indiana

They called in the national guard, closed the roads and told everyone via mass voice mail that anyone caught on the road will be ticketed.

Fk the ghost won... it was close though and I know he doesn't want a piece of me if I'm sober. I may try him again tomorrow since I have it off of work. The new furnace so far knock on wood is doing well!

How many beers did you get down?

Enjoy.

I stopped at 9...it could have gotten ugly on the pool table after double digits. The ghost and I are negotiating a rematch for tomorrow.

Yayyyy, we warmed up by 2 degrees. -48 now.

Pipes froze twice today. Just got back in from Lowes with heat tape and insulation.

The pipes are wrapped already but doesn't seem to do any good.

Step outside in the back and it is quite sheltered. Out in the open is brutal.

I wouldn't want to be caught out on any highway tonight, you'd be crazy to travel. Thank God for cell phones at least. I know for a fact that when we get down to these temps, tow trucks are at a premium and even if you need a boost, you will have a minimum of a 72 hr wait.

Even if you get a tow truck, the repair shops will be booked for more than a week.

Times like this and you quickly realize that a person should plan for little emergencies.

I have a propane heater, propane bottles, a camp stove and 2 containers of water. Gotta have enuff to at least fill the toilette
and flush it.
I have been without power for several hrs in weather like this before and it doesn't take long for a house to cool down.

I gave one poor soul a boost this evening. He would have to abandon his van cause he wasn't getting a tow truck.

Had our New years turkey yesterday so I made soup for supper. Couldn't have had a better warm me upper tonight.

Feel sorry for all the homeless people. Hope they have somewhere to go and keep warm.

branko were getting hammered big time with snow in central il. Absolutely brutal here! Not worth going on road playing a tourney tomorrow night!

It's going to be -19 tonight. When I was a kid there was no such thing as a wind chill factor. It was just cold.

Today on the way to the pool hall people were lined up to wash their cars. It was a stifling hot 11 degrees. Tomorrow I'm bringing a blow torch to thaw out locks and doors when I go to practice.

April 8-9, 1973 we had a blizzard here in Wi., 10 to 20 inches. Took me 5 hours to go 26 city blocks. I've never missed a days work because of weather.

MY G-O-D...!

KK9's dodging the ghost-shopping cart @ parking lot & screw the 9!!!!

what the hell did yáll send us East????

it went from 30, to 10, in 10 flat. my God...!

Jeez.....I now what you guys have been discussing.......it's been so cold where I am that
I haven't been able to swim any laps and everyone wanted to be a shirt in our weekly shirts & skins basketball
game......Brrr.......we won't even reach 70 degrees tomorrow....today was only 66.......I may even consider
wearing a windbreaker if this cold trend continues much longer........over the weekend I saw several golfers
wearing long pants.....oh well, mother nature can be a *itch.......but there's only 12-13 weeks left.

2. The wife is talking sht in pool so I need to take care of that business...the ghost can wait....midway through beer #4 thinking I am close to a shortstop in pool now.

Wait, your wife did what in the pool???

Lol talking not taking! I ended up sneaking out a win. I can definitely notice a big difference with the tips now shaped vs being flat. First league match is Thursday and then I might be playing in a big no masters tournament this weekend if I can shake this sinus infection. Gl to me.

Well I went out to shovel the end of the driveway this morning at 6:30 am. I had already run the two stage monster snow blowing devil over it three times the day before. So the city plowed up a bunch of slushy soon turned into solid ice fun stuff for my breakfast. Mind you it was a balmy - 15 or so and the wind was blowing a good 25 - 35 mph. I had so many clothes on I could hardly move. Normally I might weigh 140 lbs. but this morning I am fairly confident I weighed close to 200!! So out I went with my old solid metal shovel made back in some bygone era of American history. It was the only thing I could break up the ice/snow mass that hindered me from the rest of the civilized world. After about 25 minutes or so I noticed my face was getting tingly and feeling oddly stiff, then my coordination was becoming slightly less than normal. So being of sound mind I said F--- This, it's good enough and went in for coffee with the wife. This cold is no joke folks, if you don't need to be out don't go! Take Care Everyone!

-30 degrees today. :-) Just got a cue shipped from Florida before their "cold spell" and I can not believe it survived the UPS ground trip with the climate and temperature change! A little worse for wear possibly but still good enough for a 30 year old plus cue. Cold weather was made for playing pool!...
