Dress Code at Derby?

I think if you're wearing what you have on in your avatar, you'll be fine.
There has always been a dress code. Last year they changed the rule to allow T-shirts, before that it was a collared shirt. There was also a no shorts or jogging/sweat pants rule before. Whether the rules were actually applied before is a whole different matter. Looks like maybe they just went back to the old rule.

I say adopt a collared dress shirt, dress vest and dress slacks! No sweater vests!!!
Watch the guys scream bloody murder! 9 days of dress attire would have them wearing the same thing day after day. But, hey they do that now!!!

IMHO if you don't like complying with the DCC dress code that has been changed this year don't go.
I have a rule in life, if I can not wear BLUE JEANS at some place I am ask to go, or want to go, I don't go.
I recall years ago going to a restaurant in LA that had a dress code. I arrived in Blue Jeans, Hawaiian Shirt, and was told you must wear a Jacket to dine here by the hostess, who offer me a loaner.
I replied that there are other Steak joints in LA that I don't have to wear a Jacket at, and just a soon eat where I am accepted.
But in fairness to the people who run the DCC, they are entitled to have a dress code, and you as a player are entitled to not not comply with their DRESS CODE, by speaking with your dollars, staying home, or going somewhere else and spend your DCC money at the alternate destination.
Heck the WWE (Pro Wrestling ) has a Dress, and Conduct code for their personal under contract. Break the Rules and you ar suspended, Suspended & fined, or just fired. BUT THE WWE Pays their personal like the Professionals they are. Sports Entertainers.
A moderate dress code is a start in the right direction. Let's get out of the 'dress like a bum and get paid like a bum' mode.
As an aside: I was watching a video of a gambling session and one of the spectators ( a well know player) was standing in front of the crowd with his hand in his pants scratching his package. He didn't have a clue that that this was the wrong place and time. This should not represent the image of the sport we love.

YOU are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!
This SHOULD NOT represent the sport we love (but makes no money or ever goes anywhere). THIS "move" of scratching your nuts in PUBLIC should be LIMITED to ONLY those sports that MAKE MONEY and their players MAKE MONEY!
OUTLAW nutscratching in POOL! Make it only LEGAL and MORAL to do so in PROFESSIONAL sports like basketball, football, MMA, hockey, etc., etc., etc. Or RAP!
Only people in sport professions or entertainment that MAKE MONEY should be allowed to do public nutscratching.

The fashion statements (or lack thereof) are one of the most enjoyable parts of DCC people watching. I don't expect this to change.
Nut-scratching in public by anyone should be strictly outlawed.
I saw a college guy in a COFFEE SHOP with his hand down the front of his pants digging for god knows what... oil? a snack? Maybe he's like Vera de Milo and keeps his chew down there...
FWIW, can ANYBODY explain in LOGIC to ME WTF the "pants on the ground" fashion is all about?
I don't care WHO you are, but I'm not expecting or believing ANYONE who says "comfort" or "functionality" is part of the equation.
If it is STRICTLY for "fashion", then where has society gone wrong allowing this to occur. I'm sure people will argue back with "Beatle haircuts, high-heel shoes, etc., etc" but I don't think that any of those fashions had anybody's naked nasty ass being exposed to the PUBLIC and being passed off as NORMAL.

In years past, they allowed a more casual dress but when playing on the live steam table, semi finals and finals you had to strictly comply with the dress code. I wonder with the cold snap and snow back there recently whether or not the dress code will actually be enforced. Last year it was very cold and many players had two and three shirts on and wore jogging sweat pants to matches and no one said a thing. Same thing happened at the Rio this year when the electricity went out and there was no air conditioning in the tournament room and they allowed play in walking shorts. Gotta bring both types of clothing cause the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and there is not many places to buy clothing.

The logic is: "I want to belong to a subculture that is defined by wearing a certain style of clothes." Or, "I saw some famous person dress like this so I will too... by the way, can you point me to the bridge that all my friends are jumping off?"
I agree with Huey. They always had the dress code. It's only enforced for the TV matches. And of those, I think actually only the full production matches, not the simple ones for some of the stream matches.
So, if you are not a favorite to cash in one of the events, I wouldn't worry about packing anything special.
