Fake 314-2 Shafts

Hey just a shoutout to all.

A couple of months back got a mate at my local pool hall that started introducing and selling fake 314-2 shafts for about 110 brand nee.

They look exactly the same. With the predator label on. Silver rings.

They come available in all joints that predator provides. The only thing that I see different is, they used a melamine ferrule and triangle tip.

They are locals here that could barely speak English so they'd want to sell these fake shafts overseas for them. I'm not willing to do black market business for them but at first I pretended and asked, the ferrule should be titan and everest otherwise people will find out. They told me that that could be easily taken care of if they have buyers.

PM me if u want to know a lil info about them. Not gonna point out names publicly.

This is just to tell people to buy from authorized dealers. Otherwise you'd most likely to get a fake one.

I can't get pics, because they wont let me take pics. But I can tell u they look the same, I tried comparing them with the real thing.

This has dropped to the 3rd page already. I guess no one is interested in fake Predator shafts.

I believe that if people asked the right questions of Tim, (PM) you might be a little shocked and surprised at one or 2 of his answers.

I use a predator Z2 and I'm frankly not happy with the quality of the wood. I bought it through an official dealer. While the performance of the shaft is good, the wood gets dirty from chalk much, much faster than all my other shafts, including an old 314. The wood is light in color and just does not look like quality maple, I'm sad to say. I am completely fanatical about cleaning and waxing my cue shafts, but it's so much work with this shaft that I'm beginning to think I might give up on keeping it clean. If this is the standard of quality that Predator is going to maintain, I'll buy from the competition next time.

Damn...always hearing on here about how the Chinese are stealing from the Americans (supposedly), but seldom hear about the Chinese who are stealing from the Chinese who are stealing from the Americans.

You KNOW what THAT means? It means if they are NEAR the SAME quality then you were getting RIPPED off in the FIRST place. That is the WAL-MART theory and most manufacturers theories. Now that EVERYTHING is overseas who do you think is gonna rip off who? We don't have anything left to rip off except ideas.

It is the same thing with cues and everything else. Why are people able to sell ALMOST the same thing, using similar quality materials at WAY less?

Because they are paying their employees LESS than the others. That is the good old American way...er, er..er...I mean Chinese way. :)

Predator knows all about them. There was a BK3 out long before Predator made a BK3. I outed the fake Predator cases that were being touted on here a couple years ago.

It's highly UNLIKELY that these fakes are coming from the factories that are contracted to Predator. But not out of the realm of possibility that the place they are coming from has purchased the same machine as those factories have to do the pie splices. I know both of the factories doing Predator stuff right now and I would be willing to bet that neither of them are willing to risk Predator's business by letting shafts go out the back door.

Just kidding...but I wouldn't put it past ANYBODY, ANYWHERE...if somebody thinks they can get an EXTRA dime or dollar out of somebody else. This goes for any country, any culture, any nationality in the WORLD...not just China.

If you listen to today's news you are going to hear Governor Christy of NJ try to explain how he had NOTHING to do with any traffic difficulties in NJ that were "possibly" caused by HIM or his EMPLOYEES as a payback to a DIFFERENT political party.

MANY people are going to say they "would bet that neither HIM nor his EMPLOYEES would RISK his political career possibly leading up to the Presidency over something as trivial as that". The e-mails may say something COMPLETELY different.

WHO can you TRUTHFULLY believe?

They are in the process of identifying and courts-martialing a few HIGH level US Navy officers...ADMIRALS at the highest. For what? Supposedly taking bribes from an Asian con man that is well known throughout the Pacific maritime world by mariners from around the world...navies as well as civilians.

The Asian guy is now in Federal prison in San Diego awaiting trial. One or more of the US Navy officers have already been convicted. A few more are under trial or investigation.

How MANY people would have BET that these guys would NEVER do something like that? I would bet that MANY would say that.

These shafts could range from COMPLETE fakes, to SECONDS that were maybe supposed to be destroyed or sold at a reduced price (though I have never heard of Predator seconds being for sale anywhere), to ACTUAL shafts that DIDN'T pass through the BACK DOOR, but SOMEHOW got out into the world and were unaccounted for by the people who are supposedly in charge of production, logistics, materials, and distribution.

You choose which theory suits your fancy until we actually find out the true story. In the mean time, I'll sit back and watch. When I worked for NSA our motto was, "IN GOD WE TRUST. ALL OTHERS WE MONITOR". I'm in my monitoring mode right now. I'll leave the TRUSTING up to the rest of you. :) :)
