I bought two nights of the stream in NC and both nights were so choppy it was unwatchable. I got 5-6 seconds freeze, catch up then 5-6 seconds and freeze...no continuity at all. wasted my time and money unfortunately.
I rented a couple of nights and it had me so frustrated I haven't purchased any sinc then.I sure do hate that I've missed this

The biggest problem I have is why, if you know a place does not have enough internet to show a good stream do you go there in the first place and sell it night after night like nothing is wrong with it? Question #2, if you have to go there to get your DVD's why not pay for a dedicated line? I like Pat and Jim and know they've done a lot to give us many matches most of us would never see W/O them, but that don't give them a free pass for this kind of BS. Johnnyt
I can speak to the dedicated line thing.
I'm guessing you have never been to the casino that hosts the Derby. If you have you would know how far out in the middle of nowhere it is. I'm not talking about in a small town outside of Louisville I am talking literally in the middle of nowhere. You go through the small town and drive on a two lane country road for what seems like a pretty silly amount of time to reach a casino.
That means the only to way to get a new line to that place is to actually run a new line there. Which would cost more than what accu stats makes in a year. Or five. Only other option is possibly a satellite set up which brings in a whole new set of issues. Like if the wind blows too hard. (Which happened to me at the Riv one year).
Streaming has become so ubiquitous people just expect it to always be smooth now. The thing is MAJOR players in the world have problems all the time. One of the worst streams I have ever seen was a UFC event I paid $50 or so for. It was terrible. NBC has had problems with the Olympic streams in the past. Now I know none of that means anything to someone who paid for a product and did not receive it to their satisfaction but the fact remains streaming is not cable television. It still is susceptible to many factors outside both the producer and consumers control.
My suggestion would be that instead of running down a company that I would argue is the backbone of the game for the last few decades how about contact them and see if they can find a way to make you happy? If they tell you to pound sand then fine blast away but I would bet everything I own those guys are doing the absolute best they can to put out a good stream.
Have you contacted them?
Justin, why sell something you know is not working? They knew the place sucked for streaming after last year. Johnnyt
Has anyone actually talked to accu-stats about the problem? If so what was their response?
No refunds.
(smiley face)
Damn. Thats one way to do it I guess.
I bought the full meal deal, mainly to support the effort. I would be happy if they could find a way to let me view from the archives some of the matches that were unviewable during the week. There were lots of shots that I missed and wondered how did he get there, when the stream skipped.

I know that if I fly to London and lose 8 hours, I'll gain it back when I come home.
What I would like to know is: If I lose an hour on an Accu-stats frozen stream, do I ever get it back?
Perhaps this is what Einstein was referring to. Time is truly warped and frozen in the Accu-stats stream of reality. Time travel is possible, but I found that I don't like it one bit.
Accu-stats was indeed streaming on me.
