Rodney shows up in Reno

You know more about it than I do Keone, and I don't even read National Enquirer.

I was short one movie to apply to ACTRA. I arranged for some Country Dancers for a movie that Mia Kirschner was staring in.

When they started to get abused and cold, I moved them over to a warmer part of the building that they were using for the set.

I got shit for that, got into an argument and was told that I would never work again locally. They were right, I didn't and I didn't much care either.

In '97 I went up to Toronto to do a film with Charlie. It was called Bad day on the Block but changed to Under Pressure. Charlie already had kind of a bad boy rep. I had a big scene with him where we duke it out. He stabs me with a screwdriver and I get killed. It was a long scene. I was concerned.

Charlie was nothing but the professional. Very diligent and supportive. It was easy. Sheen made the whole experience very gratifying and creative. Not to mention there were always some of Canadas finest beauties hanging out on the set. I don't care what they say about him. I always look forward to working with him.

i LOVE Charlie Sheen. but i love his DAD, more....a friend @ OC plays golf w/ him (Martin).

i was referring to Charlie's "swan-dive", which could have been handled better.

Hmmm, wondering if Keone knows how Season 7 of SOA is going to end.

I know DeadWood is an older series. Just getting around to watching it at the moment.

Pretty darn good.

Deadwood is the best cable series ever made, IMO. Too bad it got cancelled and didn't have a proper conclusion.

I ran across Deadwood on HBO in 2005 and became instantly addicted. I've watched every episode at least 2-3 times! Absolutely loved Wu (great acting job Keone!). He looked entirely different in True Blood, and I had not made the connection until reading the Wiki article just posted! Quite the career in movies and tv. At one time he sought me out to get a lesson, but things never worked out where we were both available at the same time. Perhaps the next time I'm in S. CA (next July, after the BCAPL nationals). Pretty sure he plays out of HOB in Sherman Oaks, where I gave another movie person lessons three days in a row last December. Nice room!

It's a catch 22. The players are fighting over scraps while incurring serious expenses. Some feel the need to resort to unscrupilous things. Bye bye sponsors.

I've said this before... It's the horse before the cart theory. The product - the pros - too many are polluted. What Griffin and others are doing to inhibit corruption and disgrace, I applaud.

Cull out the horsecrap and THEN there's a product that sponsors will back. Tell the consumer how John Doe Pro was raised. Give us a connection and a reason to root for our favorite. Then, the marketing $$$'s follow and will enable more butts in the seats - butts that also buy product.

Horse first. $$ later.

I have always loved the Westerns. They just don't make enuff any longer.

I think that Deadwood is the true grit non romanticized version of how life actually was in the old west or after the Civil War and life started to become a bit more civilized.

Yeah, the Old Westerns are great but life and the people weren't really like that. The Three Amigos and Gringo Kids etc, were all Holly Wood.

I'm liking it. But, with so many great series these days, I have to put my vote in for number one as being Sons of Anarchy.

The Walking Dead is pretty decent as well but won't get up there with the big ones.

Have to start watching Game of Thrones too.

Im not going to say anymore about the Rodney topic. I think its my own feeling of remorse for things I said in the past or things Ive done that were wrong. I tried in myself to reverse that but it has been a long haul. I really wish Rodney could come to terms with it. He has always been kind and friendly to me and yet I have seen him explode in social situations. He reminded me of me in instances.

A mentor told me once when I asked him. How can I a lowly student could be come a good actor. He told me this, "In order to be good in anything, you have to be a good person". It took me many years to understand how deep that was. I guess hoping that Rodney would be forgiven was in myself hoping those who I offended forgive me.

I apologize if I have confused the issue. I still like Rodney and admire his playing. And I have always respected Mark. I told him so when he took it upon himself to resurrect the US Open One Pocket way back when it was based in downtown LV.Surely a labor of love.

When David Milch, the creator of NYPD Blue and Deadwood, wrote for me as Mr Wu for 3 years I asked him "Is there anyway I could repay you for all you have done?". He told me "Yeah someday do something good for someone else too who needs it.". I try to live by that code.

Have you been watching Justified? I like the ones you like and I like that one as well. If you haven't seen it you should give it a try. Probably want to watch a few episodes before you make up your mind. It took a few episodes for the characters to gel.

Thanks, I will take that one up even before Thrones and watch a few episodes. I am on season one of Deadwood so it will be awhile till I get to another.

I get all wrapped up in one and watch till the end.

I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the start of Season 7 of SOA.

Kurt Sutter is an amazing writer, and actor as well. He left open so many possibilities
for the end.

I doubt that it will end well for any of them. Gemma may be the only one left in the end, to grind out her lonely existence without the boys. Or Jax may be the last man standing.

Only Kurt and a few others know.

You did something good for me that I will always remember. You got me in to visit and interview Ernie Gutierrez. To this day its one of the coolest pool related things I have ever done. The video that came out of it will be seen by people for many years and is a look at something most would never have gotten see if you would not have gone out of your way. There was nothing in it for you. You did it because you are a nice guy who wanted to help.

I would say you took Mr. Milch's words to heart and I thank you for it.

Edit to add: For those that have never seen what I am referring to it is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpl9ANYjjWE

The production is not great as my skills were even more rough than they are now but the important parts are there. Without the access you helped me with Keone it wouldnt exist. I and all other future cue addicts owe you a thanks.

Absolutely, "Justified" is my all-time favorite show right now. Second on the list, however, is the new HBO six-episode series "True Detective" with Woody Harrelson and Matt McConaughy. ;)

Favorite actor is Walton Goggins who plays Boyd Crowder!

There you go making sense again. Right from the heart. Thanks JAM

Everyone comes to this topic form a different vantage point. You and I, I'm pretty sure, share the same thoughts on this topic, and Rodney sure is fortunate to have a friend in you, Mr. Young.

Time needs to transpire for this to settle. Threads like this one, however, keep feeding fuel to the fire.

When time passes by, this controversy could heal itself. Rodney Morris is *not* a bad person. He is caught up in the pool celebrity world with all of its Vegas-type distractions and occupational hazards. I am going to pray that Rodney Morris' future will be a good one. I also hope Mark Griffin continues to enjoy what he's doing in the pool world. It is truly a labor of love for him.

Au contraire, (That is French by the way for, "On the contrary"). my Dear Strawberry Jam.

I believe that many of Rodney's Face Book posts continue to put combustibles on the rapid oxidation.

There is a plethora of helpful posts in this thread should Rodney choose to take heed instead of making fun of the AZB membership.

It is on Rodney's shoulders alone, not Mark's, not ours. Deep down he knows what has to be done to right the differences.

It does seem though, that instead of manning up and taking responsibility for his words and actions, he has chosen to turn the other cheek, both of them and hike down the highway in the opposite direction needed at this time.

Perhaps in the future he will decide to turn back and walk against the wind until it quells in his favor.
