Yep. Bumps be crazy.
I know it is frustrating to sellers to have their wfs threads travel back, but that high traffic\ high interest is precisely what makes that section so valuable. I gets a lot of attention.
I understand those that use the azb as a storefront would like more focus, but eliminating dialogue is not the way to go, IMO.

Yeah, popularity is a double edged sword.. was it Danny DiLiberto or Yogi Berra's line..'Nobody goes there, it's always too crowded'?
Mine is a Want to buy thread...I'll just bump every once in a while until I give up.
Absolutely........illegal thread bumps.......chit chat bullshit posts about how great the cue is........those messages need to be done via PM rather than posting on the original thread. Even questions to the seller should be sent and replied to using PM exchanges.
Until everyone gets behind helping to enforce the Forum rules by reporting the AZers that openly flaunt their willful disregard to adhere and abide by obeying the rules, like bumping in less than a 48 hrs. and posting chit chat remarks, this section of the Forum is screwed.

They just put a rule in force where you can't bump your own thread for 48 hrs. Somebody with a new W/FS post try to bump yours early and see what happens.
Not sure, however, if that rule is negated/overridden when someone else comes in and bumps it prematurely.....('hey, man, nice stick' or 'darn, if I hadn't just blew my wad, I'd buy it' or 'bet it hits a TON', etc.)

Well let's see... right now there's the "ebony SW, I'm done with pool" thread, before that the Nick Serdula red rep thread and others like that in recent weeks, And while done with good intentions in some cases, those things generate a lot of posts and away goes your FS thread, off to the nether regions.

I know what you mean. I have been trying to buy a case and have only had like 3 offers because my thread goes away so quick. And Im looking to spend up to 500 on a damn case:angry:

Really? If so that is great. I definitely think a site programming solution is the best option. I find it frustrating that you can't post comments or ask questions in the thread...often there is valuable info issuing from a post and the answers could be useful to everyone. I'd love to see a shift that would allow conversations to happen in the thread without bumping it. Another forum I go to has that functionality and it's great. But, I'm sure such upgrades aren't as simple as I'd like them to be, so I understand havi g to find a solution within the feature of the current system.

Might they be leaving standard info out so people will bump the post by asking questions? Hmmmmm??? People will work every angle they can...The dealers whom flood the section should be made to become sponcers of the site, no more free rides.

As this forum is as popular as it is there are going to be people breaking the rules. I really dont think the mods care as long as they are making money. I have sold a lot of cues here and never had to bump a thread. But I guess if you are a flipper/used car salesman you gotta keep pushing selling pushing selling pushing selling. I never buy from someone like that

uses ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. He went on Super Ingore
a long time ago. That crap flat-out hurts my eyes.
Biggest problem - overpriced merchandise which gets bumped several times and doesn't sell.
A lot of people don't seem to realize it is a buyer's market.
