Scott Gracio I want my cue or money back now.

Any way it will keep AZB informed as to when it is done. Until I have my cue in my hand. I will still post a warning on any thread that he uses to sell a cue on. As I have said from the beginning, it's about Scott's honor. Well we shall see.

Let's see if I can figure out how this conversation went...

"Dude, I've been sick / my mom's in the hospital / my grandma broke her hip and I have to take care of her / I had a fall and ended up with temporary amnesia. I was going to call you back / email you back / send you a smoke signal as soon as things calmed down, but you went and started all that sh*t on AZB. On top of that, my lathe broke / my house caught fire / my wife kicked me out and I'm homeless now and I couldn't get to making your cue. I was going to refund you the money, but when I sent that email to the wrong address and you didn't respond in 12 minutes, I assumed that you were OK with it. Why you gotta be a dick about stuff on the forums man? I didn't do anything wrong to you!"

almost lost my coffee

it's about Scott's honor

Scouts honor is a promise and he holds three fingers in the air.

Scott's Honor, he holds his entire hand in the air cause he gonna shove it in your Culo.

I have a great deal of respect for anyone that takes the time to learn this craft. I see first hand what goes into building cues to the highest standard. I always implore people that they know 100% who they are getting into business with, and to be careful. A problem like this has never and will never come out of Keith's shop.

I always thought Scott was a stand up guy. I hope he makes this right and cleans up his act. It pisses me off to no end to see some one give a black eye to the cue builder community. It's tough enough to make a living building and selling cues.

Here's to hoping for a happy ending.

Scumbags

I was impressed with the Gracio 360 but after reading this thread its like all the other scumbags that ruin their names. Their cues will never be of interest again.
I hate thieves.

Do you ever watch the show American Greed? Money (or lack of same) can cause people to do all kinds of things, most of them bad. Liars, cheats, scam artists of all kinds are all over in every walk of life, including our own. Let the buyer beware is the best advice I can give you. I've been cheated before so I'm not immune either. I'm VERY careful about who I do business with on here and if I get a feeling something is amiss I just quit the deal no matter how good it seems. Forewarned is forearmed!

I urge anyone who is wronged. And not just a few weeks late or even a few months. But really wronged. And believe me you know the difference. Honor goes 2 ways. I think you have the responsibility to the community at large to give a heads up.

wasnt there another cuemaker named jim that got called out and then came on and smoothed it over and promised to make things right and then didnt.
it seems when they are backed into a corner and still want to do business they stall for time with wasted promises but no action..
then they go away with the money, which being crooks they have already blown.

passed the point of a promise of a cue. time for him to overnight the money to you. that is action and gets him rolling again.

Yes there was, and quite a few more.
I don't put Scott Gracio in that mix, but he seems to take advantage of peoples good nature at times, to the point that he draws the line on what he will or won't do.
In my opinion this just immaturity from a businessman's standpoint, and I doubt anyone will get ripped off by Scott Gracio.
I've been wrong a lot lately so it would be cool for Scott to break the cycle.
For instance last week I put Bobby Chamberlin in the top 10 or 25 whatever straight pool players in the US, and today I posted that Seaglass was a good dude.
Wrong on everything, so the lesson here is don't make shit up on the internet><
I know nothing about straight pool players, and I've never read one of the infamous Seaglass WFS threads.

In light of so many of these threads having been posted over the years, why would a cue maker or dealer think that ignoring a customer would be a good idea?

This is why i always bought a cue with both hands. One for the cue and the other with the money. On site with no promises. The only issue is buying a cue across the country...
Is there something like Paypal where they might act as an intermediary that holds the money for the builder until the cue is done. Then releases it when the buyer approves. If the buyer does not like the cue then they follow whatever arrangements pre agreed on. If the buyer faults then the cash goes to the builder. Just a thought.

Well, tracking number received. Everything appears to be smoothed out now as a result of this thread for my deal. I'm a pretty small fish, though.

I would replace "Wheat, Varney, Stroud" with Zinzola, Pepper, Wadsworth.

Dropping all of these names (and there are more) makes me wonder how much $$$ in total the AZ community has been bilked out of in the last few years.
Don't forget hangemhigh, and although he is not a cuemaker, he deserves to be mentioned when discussing con-men on AZ.

For the sake of the AZ community there should be a "Bad Action List"
of cuemakers pinned on the Wanted/For Sale page.
