Know we have a bunch of members from the LA & OC Area, understand the Quake was real bad in La Habra, and Brea Area.

Heard Disneyland had people stuck on ride that stopped.

I was there in north Hollywood sleeping when the March 71 baby hit, was nasty. Holly Cross in Mission Hills, The County, and VA Hospital in Sylmar got it bad.

Just got off the phone with my 93 y/o Father who live to the South of San Dog CO. He said they "felt' it.

it was just a baby, I was playing darts and didnt even notice.

Thanks for the concern.

If nancy pelosi and diane feinstein are now MIA, I'd say it was a good day afterall!!

Godspeed to anyone else that might have been injured though!

That felt stronger than a 5! An apartment complex and 5 homes reportedly "red tagged". No injuries reported however.

i woke my rep up @ 5amPST @ Newport Beach. he said "what earthquake?"

on the flip-side - where are Kevin Brewer & Tate & Jay? they are up @ LA.
Spanky, thanks for checking in!

Tate and Jay and me are stuck in our Teacups ride at Disneyland. They shut it off just as I got a hold of the wheel and I was spinning them like crazy and I'm not letting them out until I get my turn!

It was a bit scary. Felt like a series of waves, like we were in the water. Kinda felt dizzy and nauseous afterward- like seasick. It seemed like it lasted longer than 15 seconds.

I was actually on the 9 ball for my 10k internet battle-of-the-aging-ego-match, hill hill, when that damn thing struck. The 9 did a "U" turn and rolled into the opposite corner pocket. So I won anyway.

Just another day at the office.

I get ALL the lettuce wraps.

The earthquakes here the last few days have been scary.
So scary, the hookers walking around Disneyland and Knott's Berry farm have disappeared.:grin-square:
I know this b/c a friend of mine is a vice squad.

Some of my stuff in the shop hit the floor.
Good thing none broke.

I was down on a shot when it happened. At first I thought someone bumped into the table, then I thought "it's gonna take more than that to shark me." Half an hour later I realized what had happened.

OK, you and me get in a hate/debate over what kind of foil Palmer used.

We ramp it up to name-calling.

I call you out claiming "you couldn't beat me giving me the last 6"

We ramp it up to betting like a million bucks over a period of 6 months.

We open it up to side action.

We take off the rail.

Too much work. I don't think I have that kind of energy. How about if we just continue to be good friends?

...Although, why anyone would live in an earthquake zone is beyond my ability to comprehend. Atlanta only has to worry about the occasional tornado or small flood as far as natural disasters go. Pretty sweet.

When you take into account that the geological timetable is measured in centuries and millenniums it is very possible you won't encounter one that affects you in a big way in your lifetime. Tornadoes and hurricanes on the other hand happen relatively frequently. I'd say if you live in Florida, the Gulf Coast, or tornado alley, you are much more likely to be impacted by a natural disaster in a major way.

While geologists say California is "overdue" for a major quake, it could easily still be thousands of years before it happens. Brush fires and subsequent flooding are probably a more real concern to the average person.

Actually, my wife and I were enjoying artisan pizza, salad and a bottle of wine in NoHo (North Hollywood's revitalized arts district) at this really great hangout called Pitfire, where everyone was half my age and trendy/edgy.

We didn't notice the quake at all. My wife saw posts within minutes on her phone Facebook app so we knew it had happened.
