I played my first real tourney on a little table and literally did not miss a ball I tried o make for a whole day.
Bar tables are far easier than 9'ers. Please don't tell me you would argue otherwise.\m/
Put it this way, a 7' Valley can be quite easy. I have seen balls hit the rail one diamond from the side and still go in the corner.

Most will take a ball that misses by a diamond or a little more.
However, a good Diamond 7' will not take missed balls anymore than a 9' will. That equates to you have to be accurate. No one feels a 5' shot on a diamond barbox is tough. Yet, you put the exact same shot on a 9', and you will be surprised how many amateurs will sweat it. Now, on a 9', you do have a reach problem to contend with when playing position. Other than that, the shots are just shots. A 9' is all about knowing how to play position correctly. Pockets are the same size.
Yes, the 9' is more difficult overall. But far too many have a mental problem playing on one. They have always heard they are so tough compared to a barbox, that when they get on one every shot, no matter how easy or routine, is tough to them. If you can play runnout pool on a barbox, you won't have much more difficulty on a 9'.
You are a good player, you know, like I do, exactly what the differences are, and they are different position moves,(due to reach) and mental. I just get tired of so many amateurs saying barboxes are so easy when they can't even string a few racks together on one.
