WOW!!! and WOW!!! again. Congratulations as that is an unbelievable finish which I'm sure you are proud of. I don't know why you are looking for a substitute finish as you surely have mastered the one you are using.
I've always been proud of the finish that I attain but now I can see that it's back to the drawing board for me.

It would be nice to have a less volatile alternative. I've worked with some of the nastiest chemicals in the world when the mindset at the workplace(sportfishing boat) dictated that respirators and skin protection were for wimps. Stupid yes, but when you are young it is difficult to go against the flow. MEK, IMRONS, copper based bottom paints, epoxies, different kinds of other LPS.
I've breathed it all in various forms and when I worked in a body shop I went home with headaches many times.... I have no doubt it has affected my health. I've tried waterborne finishes, but wasn't happy. I liked Chroma, but I think it is overpriced and when they discontinued 2400(think that was the number), my supplier sold me a quart of activator(mine went bad) for 86.00 without telling me the paint was unavailable. I ended up giving the leftovers(most of it since I only had a couple ounces of paint) away.
If I can get away from solvent base finishes and get the same results, I'm in!
That's why........
