2014 World 9-Ball Championship

I too hope that Shane makes his break trough in this event.
I wish they were recording all these matches because there
will be so many good matches going on at the same times
it will be hard to choose.

I wonder what happened to Oscar, as he withdrew I think I read.

This whole tournament is a group of death and it will take one of the great ones to win it.

Established superstars Ko Pinyi, Wu Jiaqing, Carlo Biado, JL Chang, Alex Pagulayan, and newly crowned China Open champion YL Chang all were absent at the US Open 9-ball event.

Wu Jiaqing and Ko Pin Yi did, however, attend, the US Open 10-ball event and both had a higher finish than Van Boening.

I'll be rooting for Shane to break through in this event. It's time to do something about American futility in WPA World Championships overseas and Shane who, impressively, got to the quarterfinals of the China Open, appears to be a man in form.

Good luck to all who vie for the title.

I will also be rooting Shane on but man the magic rack and the alternate break are tougher on him than most anyone else.

definitely a neutralizer.

best,
brian kc

shane should easily dominate in his group. the only threat i see there would be fu che wei.
some matches i'll definitely watch later:
Jason Shaw vs Chang Jung-Lin
Alex Pagulayan vs Ohi Naoyuki

Are the matches going to be available to watch later?

The coverage looks like it is going to be fantastic. Am I reading it wrong or is the viewer going to have the option of watching one of 14 live matches (and switching back and forth)? Looks like a first class set-up. For free?

Go Shane.

When I said to watch at a later date I meant after the tournament is over.
Thanks
LOL.
anyway, "genipool" (from genipool14 channel) was chatting with kazoom about getting copies of the videos. but i dont think they will provide it. probably wont put it on their youtube channel either. genipool is trying to figure it out though.

You can probably open up several windows to watch several matches simultaneously.

During stage one, 14 live matches were available for viewing.

You'll need to have 14 different account to do it, unless you have that many different e mail account and registered with it i don't think it's doable.

LOL I see Shane is in same group as his nemesis Alex Kazakis who beat Shane at Athens tourney few months ago and also beat Shane in a few money matches. If they both win their matches today they will both meet day after tomorrow 23rd. That would be a good grudge match :)

Karol Skowerski is Polands top player and is often around Worlds tourneys. He won World Pool Masters and was World Cup of Pool finalist. IMHO he plays below baby Ko's speed so Ko is slight favorite but this is short race to 9 being slight favorite will not make obvious difference :)
