wish i could tell you buddy, but my sniffer is on the fritzLooks more like Malaysian blackwood to me. Could be Lauro Preto but is very dark for that, and woulda smelled like bocote as you cut it.
are you looking at the last picture? the raw wood, no finishI agree with Eric...my Lauro Preto cue is not dark like that either. And mine is loaded with little birdseyes. As a playing wood...plays ridiculously well!

i know im colorblind and all that, but i dont see it as dark
it's just bad lighting miss lisaI was referring to the finished pic. The raw pic looks about like mine looks after the finish was applied. With that said...like bocote and some rosewoods...I am sure they come in all shades. Still a stunning cue...everything on it works!
