as many know the old titlist had butt diameters in the 1.40's as did many of the old house cues. i then heard it was stroud and james that started the .85 joint and 1.25 butt in joss cues. i'm sure there were others did the same thing.
cues now seem to have got a bit thinner at the biutt.
i have started to experiment with a more parallel cue, i have made a few cues, .87 joint and 1.23 - 1.22 butt. i think i like them better. it just seems to me that i can get a bit more weight forward and a more solid hit.
