thank you to CJ Wiley for teaching, learning, growing and sharing!

I'm glad Jimmy's birthday is still "kicking in"

Hey there, that's great to hear, I'm glad Jimmy's birthday is still "kicking in". Let me know if there's anything else.....I'm available the rest of the day, although the mountain biking trails are calling my name. ;) ALOHA

good God - WTH has happened to this thread in the past week?

last night was payout for Leagues (we came in 2nd @ $535). and Doodysquat/Jimmy was STILL bragging:
CJ WILEY TEXTED ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY!

what they look like, and why they are on a mission to make the LAST STAND POOL

Yeah, it's a bit creepy, - can't help but wonder what they look like, and why they are on a mission to make the LAST STAND POOL - LoL

CJ,

You have a solid fan base in this thread. The same half dozen pop in and out to give you verbal support and let you know, jokingly of course, that they're thinking about you all the time. I'd almost call them stalkers, at this point.

Congrats on the streak and good luck with it. I gotta get out there and start one of my own.

Best,
Mike

More B.S. from you. When you mentioned the double straight in combo, several stated how they would make it. Yet, when you specifically were asked how you would make it, silence. You want to get rid of your critics? It's real simple to do. All you have to do is stop with the B.S. and outright lies.

Neil...at the risk of upsetting all three of CJ's fan's, I think you should soften your critique of his methods !..Instead of using harsh words, like 'BS' and 'lies', perhaps you could use other words, so as not to upset his rabid, (though easily impressed) fan club.

For instance, 'BS' could be called "gross exageration", and "outright lies" could be labled simply, "erroneous information"!.. Or maybe we could just call them "Wiley-ism's"...After all, a guy who types thousands of words per day, alternately 'bragging' and 'selling', should NOT be held responsible for stating a few, well, er, uh,...WILEY-ISM'S !

SJD---Jes' trynna keep the peace ! ;)

PS..Mijarky, its a little rude to call your hero a 'streaker'...isn't it ? (I predict he'll be up to 70 wins, by tomorrow)

Is there a name for the syndrome you have?

Thanks, bud

Thanks, bud, enjoy your day.

If you went strictly by the title of the thread, the only ones that should be posting are the ones that wish to thank CJ. Those that wish to bash should start their own thread and then they could have at it. Irregardless, I've said my peace and I'm outta here.

"Long live CJ and TOI"

Over and out!!!!!!

Is there a name for the syndrome you have?

YES !!!...Its called, "Can't stand gullible, pool illiterate, poster's syndrome".....Sorry, its in my gene's. :sorry:

It stems from being anti- "TOI", and "tip squeezing", "martial arts", "yoga", and other nonsense, being promoted as being [sic] valuable pool information ! (sadly, it appears there will always be a market)

The game was 9 Ball on a 4/8' table.

The game was 9 Ball on a 4/8' table.

A good friend of mine, Steve Gaines (sp?), was playing him at the time and remembers it vividly. Erman and him are both at RUSTY's Billiards tonight at the $500. Break and Run Tournament.

You stated that Erman Bullard ran 24 racks in a row...what was the game...what was the size of the table and how was it documented? Seems that a feat of this magnitude would have made pool news!

Look forward to your stated documentation of this run

Thanks

I'm in this for the big picture, to get pool back into the LIGHT

Thanks, bud, I'm in this for the big picture, to get pool back into the LIGHT, and out of this darkness it accidently fell in to over the last 15 years.

'The GAME is the Teacher'

Personally I not only appreciate that he gives knowledge selflessly but also truly admire the manner in which CJ comports himself in response to the insulting negative comments he often receives from some here in this forum for nothing more than attempting to help others in this game we all love. You sir are truly a master of restraint and class.

Guys, I've said as much so many times that you can probably recite the words by heart.
If you have something constructive to add to the conversation, great.
I you're here just to tear things down, it will lead to trouble.

For the others, OP included, these threads need to remain in the Aiming Conversation sub forum.

Don't light a match

"dry" is an understatement. ;)

I see what you did there!

I honestly do appreciate your dry humor. I guess you'll have to hit me up when you get back from AZ purgatory.

Best,
Mike

I will get drawn and will run out for the $3200. - "Note to Self"

Just type as fast as I play, there's no "secret" to that.

I just won tournament #11 tonight at CK's Billiards in Dallas (Skillman and 635).....I went undefeated, although didn't get drawn for the "Break Contest"....it was $400 a ball, and the guy broke dry......brutal!!! Next week I will get drawn and will run out for the $3200. - "Note to Self" LoL - 'The Game is the Teacher'

Yes, of course they're all local tournaments.

Rusty's Billiards has two weekly ones on Tuesday and Wednesday with break contests from $200 (on Tuesday) to $500 (on Wednesday). 'Volcanoes" has three weekly tournaments, 'Diamond Jims' has a couple and there's two or three on almost every night of the week.....Dallas/Ft. Worth is booming with pool action and players these days, mostly in tournaments.

The "shortstops" around here are capable of beating any champion player a race to 9.....players like Coy Lee, Erman Bullard (who ran 24 documented racks in a row!), Dylan, TJ Davis, "Fast Philip", "Coleman", "Super Steve", "Stormin Norman" Mike Christopher, "Skinny" etc.

That's a lot of tournaments you're playing in there. You must have a lap top strapped to your side and typing between innings/matches. :D

You could come to Round Rock to play the Sunday ten ball tournament one weekend. Also the Lonestar event in August as a warm up for the Texas Open.

Well then, you can go a bit farther and hit Breaker's Billiards in Mobile, AL , August 2 for their big annual event. And yes Ricky Byrd is still tweeting.

Wait until September 6th and you can come to Lacy's Cue (non-smoking pool room) $2,000 added event. :yeah: :winknudge:

Erman Bullard won $3000. last Wednesday (three days ago)

The trouble is these local tournaments here pay more than the big ones elsewhere. Erman Bullard won $3000. last Wednesday, Coy Lee has won $8000 in one week there and I won $1200 last Sunday night......these "2k added" tournaments only pay around $1000 for first place and there's a lot of luck....and there's only one winner.....it's tough, I don't see how players get to these events unless they're top notch champion players.
