Oh really? Hmmm, let's see I showed up there in your hometown and asked you to play, I said let's freeze up the whole 20....
Nothing doing.
After Derby I said let's double the bet and freeze up the WHOLE 40 - this AFTER you claimed to have UNLIMITED backing.
I repeated my offer at least two more times before SBE. Not a peep.
Then.....on the first day of SBE when I am guaranteed to be super busy and not paying attention to the match or any pre-match barking, you try and come over the top with and offer to raise it by 15k.
I spend the next five days putting in 16-18 hour days working. Thanks for the raise though because it brought people to the booth to ask me about it. But I was fairly pissed off that I asked you to raise it several times and freeze it all up and you didn't respond at all.
So when it got to game time I was in no mood to accommodate you AND the money was better spent invested in cases which bring me a far greater return than beating you could ever bring. I played and bet what I wanted to bet when the coin was flipped. That you didn't get to bet more is your own fault.
Should have called me when I offered it THREE TIMES to FREEZE UP the money well before the match. As the Texas Hold Em players know it you can't whine when your guy gets away on the river if you didn't reel him in on the turn.
I can accept that you didn't take Brian's offer seriously, but the fact is that an offer was made and you didn't pursue it.
You all played your head games and it backfired and you ONLY won 10k between you. It's your own fault that I sidestepped your last little move and it cost you. You're very lucky that I played at all all other things considered.
One thing is for sure, I ain't no two-bit coward like you called me on here. I showed up to play and I played. I showed up at your place and offered to play right then on the stipulation that we froze up the whole 20k. You bailed. You think you were manipulating me, now I know that you were not ALLOWED to make a move without first consulting your backer.
Must have been tough for you being told what to do. I don't know but SJD was probably in on it too which if so was brilliant and if not was fortunate for you. I applaud you guys for the head games you played. But unfortunately, the last one failed you. Thinking you were going to screw with me during my show with your offer to raise was simply one move too far boys....you overplayed your hand.
I congratulate you for the win.
I REALLY DO.
You stayed calm and played a decent game. You made some great shots under pressure and dogged some and overall it was a game among equally skilled players with wildly different styles in my opinion. I did enjoy it and I thank you for really showing up to play. I know it would have been a tremendous blow had I won, much more than the money. So for you to actually show up was big for me, shows me that you do have some balls even if most of them were owned by your backer.
No really, between you and me it was more than the money and showing up and playing on stream was admirable to me. Kudos to you for doing that.
