Thought I would help someone out that is looking for a cheap way to press veneers when gluing up. I found a Shop fox press that works great.
There is a seller on Ebay that sells them for around $80 but he wants $55 for shipping, he calls them a book press, you can get them on Amazon for $62 with free shipping!
Just search for Shop Fox D3221 Super Press on Amazon.
I mounted it to a bunch of 2x4's that I planed flat, then use a couple pieces of Corian to press between. You could use Aluminum or even MDF for this as well. Mount it in the vice and load up your veneer sheets.
