Who are couple of better cuemakers wood to wood joints ?

Darrin Hill
Ron Haley
Eric Crisp Sugartree
Bob Owen
Cem (Germany)
Viattorre ( retired)
Linds (Philippines)

They are all damn nice Hitters

I need to try one of the wood pin cues...so intriguing.

I doubt that you will regret it Buddy.

Get a hold of Desi, (Chuck), his cues are reasonably priced. Probably can get you a Titlist or another Brunswick model. That is just me assuming as Chuck, at one time did have a good connection for old bar cues.

But, his cues are 100%, great customer service and warranty for a very reasonable price.

My cheaper Gino Ferrari break cue has a wood pin. Not as obvious just breaking with one as a player but still, you can feel a bit of difference.

Me, I wants to get a bumperless wood pin cue.

Bhq

One that hasn't been mentioned (and that's a crime!!) is BHQ. Brent makes some great hitting cues that look just as good they hit!! Plus the ring work on his cues are also always top notch!!

I'll be the voice for oldschool production cues...

McDermott C & D series. ;)

I have two wood-to-wood McDermotts that play really well.

A C-14 that I bought new (from the 80-84 catalog) and used for many years and that I had refinished completely by McDermott about a year ago.

I also have a RS-11 that was the cue that CJ Wiley used to beat Earl Strickland in the finals of the Million Dollar Challenge tournament where Earl ran 11 rack for the million.

Both of them are keepers.

Aloha.

How do you get this far without mentioning Cory Barnhart. I have had the pleasure of playing with a lot of cues, and Cory's rate right at the top with anyone.

Joe

Bob Frey. I had one of his sneakys with a aegis ferrule and triangle tip. OMG the best a cue has ever felt in my hands. Regret selling it and try to buy it back every time I see the guy I sold it to. He said he's never parting with it.

Take your pick on personal preference but at the top of the lists should be:

SW
Bender
Ed Young
DPK
Sugartree
Wes Hunter
Ernie Martinez
Richard Harris
Blackcreek
Searing
Joey Gold

I have heard good things about Madden, Olney and Shaller.

To me the best hit is a solid big pin wood to wood. When done right nothing comes close.

Already mentioned, got have to back up Mr. Sly. Dirtiest sneaky I've ever played.

25 years playing, 50 plus cues owned....currently holding 6. 4 say Sly on them.
