World Cup of Pool 2014(Portsmouth, UK) 23-28Sep (9ball Scotch Doubles) Winner $60K

Finalnd ran 4 racks in a row to unseat the defending champs, 9 games to 7. Better luck next year Team Philippines...

Mika gets sharked by Dennis standing up to look at the break. Dennis thinks it's an illegal break. Mika whines and cries like a spoiled brat. Referee tells him to address the table and shoot. :grin-square:
That was a move by Dennis. Dennis stood up as Mika was going down for the shot. I think Mika was absolutely justified in his reaction.

Congrats to Finland. They were simply the better team.

Philippines, though failing to take a 5-3 lead due to a skid, made a lot of errors, allowing a Finland team not playing its best to advance to the semis.

Congrats to Team Finland.

i was cheering for Philippines, but it is true - Finland was the better team. it's disappointing that dennis and lee van made mistakes on very easy shots/preparations.

Finland was the better team but they were certainly not in great form here.

Were there more legal breaks or illegal breaks in this match?

Finland got a few rolls at the end.

Blondie banks the 1, and misses, bumps the 7 out, 1 lands behind the 7. 7 shuts off 1 rail kick lane. Dennis missed a tough finesse jump.

Blondie leaves Mika wrong side of 6. Mika tries to 2 rail cb deep into corner to catch short on 3rd long rail to get on the 7. CB runs long and runs into 7, for perfect shape into 'wrong' corner pocket.

Blondie breaks, 1 misses the right side, gets hits hard just below mid table and shoots into bottom right corner. "legal break' discussion ensues.

Match over.

Rolls happen.

In my opinion if USA can get past England's "A" team then they have a great shot to go all the way. I think that stupid break rule will be to our disadvantage

Hahabar popups are hard to kill. Even then, "X"ing them sets off my Norton and Malwarbytes warning systems.

If you download AdBlock, you will have no problem wiht popups at all. I was doubtful at first, afraid to do it, but I did it a year or so ago, and it has really made my work and play on the computer much more enjoyable. Best download I've ever done.

Of course, you can't beat the price of FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Actually Team Philippines played better in this match than their first two. They were in it until the end. I thought it was a good match by both teams, with rolls going both ways. Dennis looked a lot more focused today and they played better as a team. Petri never misses anything! Not a bad partner for Mika to have!

Just as luck would have it.. My providers not on the list and I called my cable company but they told me that I could watch it from their home page but only on a computer. When I try it with my iPad it takes me directly to the app that ask for a provider . Oh well I guess I can watch replays :-)

Stay on AzBilliards. I'm sure somebody on here will be giving updates. I will probably chime in. :grin-square:

Hail Team USA.
Hail Earl and Shane.
Americans on the war path.
Pool is *our* domain!

Poor Keith. He's grumbling that nobody even played Scotch doubles until he started it years ago. Everybody just used to play one-on-one, the word according to Keith.

I think he misses pool, watching the World Cup.

Yep, he and Cardulo played me and a friend partners 1 hole, yrs ago, was Fun.

According to Keith, nobody played it until he introduced it. It was a way to allow everyone to enjoy the action, I guess, in games of stake.

I have noticed that some people seem to play better when they're partners, especially in one-hole.
