In a time when it's easy to pick apart any one for any personal reason it's nice to see someone paying respect to a man with many faults (Like the rest of us) but ours are not in the spotlight. Earl is one of a kind and love him or hate him poo fans will be talking about the great Earl the Pearl Strickland long after we are all gone. We are fortunate to be alive and able to see him in action.
I know Earl and have seen a side of him that people don't see. Even with his faults I am proud to sat that at some point in pool history I can call him a friend. Lets all try and get past the negative and celebrate while we can one of the greatest ever.

in my mind, the 2 best ever are Earl and Efren
when i compare the only major difference that puts Efren ahead are his wins in majors late in his career
Efren won two IPT big ones in his early 50's and a big world predator 10 ball a few years after
he's also taken home a ton of one pocket titles since and continues to do so which is amazing
if we disregard the one pocket stuff though (an argument could be made for this imo) my point after ramble is that Earl with a couple major wins moving forward could close that gap

I also thing that Earl had such a long stretch of so many years being "off" that it continues to hinder him to this day unfortunately
I really hope the guys that are killing it like shane and dennis and darren kind of never take for granted their natural talent and stay focused and healthy
