Both with solid run outs to start 1-1

Jim wych wasted no time to bring up Shane has no world championships and a handful of us opens....
Mark Wilson responds 27 countries represented in this US Open.

Maybe his way of saying this is a world championship.

Great match. Shane 7-4. Orcollo breaking. Dennis is trying to run out super-fast (like Shane at the US Bar Table Championship).

Shane has played 3 amazing safe's playing the CB off several rails to freeze or land 1/4" on another ball

8-4 Shane. He sends the CB 4 cushions to tuck behind a ball. Dennis tries to kick and send it straight into the gar hole. BIH Shane

i have heard orcullo is a very good guy

i think it is possible for people to see hits differently and prefer
not to damage a guys reputation over what is not so clear as we pool players like to imagine

just think of how many times people disagree

thats why we need a referee

There is something to that... Winning a WPA sanctioned 'world championship' is amazing, but at the same time many of the same players come to the US Open. It's like our world championship.

Shane broke well but didn't always have a shot. Still, when he had to work to win the race to the shot, he was brilliant.

No match I've ever seen Shane play impressed me more than this one, because he had to employ his breaking skills, his pattern play skills and his moves game, and was phenomenal across the board.

Stringing racks is all well and good, but a performance like this one, for me, is more memorable because it showcased all the skills of a great champion.

This was something very special.

I used to travel to Bangalore, India 4 times a year for a week at a time. I was largely in a fog the entire time, but was able to rise out of it for business meetings. But by 5pm I would be dragging and dreading the unavoidable "Lets take the customer out for dinner!!" invitation.

That must be what all these players are going through when they travel 12 time zones away to play in a big tournament.

Shane dominated, but Dennis didn't really make too many unforced errors.

Jaden

You should have written: "Shane dominated, and Dennis didn't really make too many unforced errors". Makes the way he won even more impressive.
